  1. I'll be back this afternoon with a good one. George
  2. No one ever actually answered my clue. From his response, I assume Wasway knew that the song was "Mother-in-law." Original artist Ernie K. Doe, but I first heard it on my "Best of Herman's Hermits" LP. Might as well continue with Waysider's clue. George
  3. No, I hoped I was wrong because I prefer the puzzles to match a little more closely. "Spoon" for "moon" is a stretch, to say the least, especially when it wouldn't be hard to find a picture of the moon (or of Warren Moon, for that matter). This discussion was held on this thread a few months ago, so I won't re-hash it here. And I want to assure you that your contributions here ARE appreciated, so don't let me scare you off! George
  4. Spoon + light + Bing (I hope I'm wrong) "Moonlighting"? George
  5. Deja Q Q loses his powers. The Enterprise is attacked by beings who hate Q. He sacrifices himself to save the ship, and gets his powers back. "What did you do to them, Q?" "Nothing bizarre. Nothing grotesque." His encounters with Guinan and Data were classic. George
  6. I only watched a couple of episodes of Earth: Final Conflict and never got into it. I did enjoy Andromeda, though. "Well did you know it was a secret?" "Yes." "Oh sure, what's the fun of telling something if it's not a secret?" George
  7. "Andromeda" Kevin Sorbo ("Dylan Hunt") was, of course, Hercules. The idea for the show was Gene Roddenberry's. His wife, Majel, was producer. Tyr Anasazi is the man behind Dylan. A Nietzschian, he teamed with Dylan, but later decided to rule the universe. The quote is his. I find it hard to believe that none of you watched this. Rent it. The last season wasn't so hot, but there were a lot of good shows in the first four. It's late. I'll think of another show tomorrow. George
  8. I'll be gone all day. If no one has it by tonight, I'll give the answer and post another. George PS: The Movie and TV Pictionary threads need some help!
  9. "When the delivery boy knows me, THEN I'll be a star!" George
  10. Mine was pretty nice, actually. George
  11. Har-de-har-har! Actually, the first time I heard it, it was a cover by a popular British group. The original artist was American, I believe. George
  12. It's hard to have any evangelical fervor if you think that everybody else is right, too. The Roman Catholic church took the wind out of its own sail when they allowed teh Protestants could go to heaven, too. Fess up: weren't you more involved with (and interested in) witnessing when you felt you had THE truth? George
  13. Well, that could be just about any Frankenstein movie. How about "Young Frankenstein"? George
  14. Another excellent show, but one which sadly lasted less than one season. Nope, the one I have in mind lasted five, although all in syndication. Raf, do you know it? George
  15. "Family" where Picard and his brother hang out in the family vineyard? George
  16. OK. The first picture is a loufa (sp?). George
  17. Linda, It's always a pleasure to read your posts. Miss you in the "game room," though! Have a wonderful birthday and a great year. George
  18. Was it the NG episode where Picard, Guinan, Ro, ans a couple of others get turned into children (transporter mishap, I believe), and try to re-take the Enterprise from some Ferengi? Young Picard had a lot of hair. I remember that the first thing he did after being returned to normal was to feel for hair! Incidentally, I picked "Way to Eden" to complement the previous use of "Spock's Brain." In my estimation, those two are tied for the worst ST episode of all time. And "Way to Eden" was essentially remade as "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier," probably the worst ST MOVIE ever. George
  19. I think that's been established. If you know the answer, you might as well blurt it out. WordWolf's shotgun blasts might bring it down eventually, but I don't think he'll mind if you step in. George
  20. Do you see three pictures? On my work computer, the first one seems to be missing. George
