Name that Star Trek Episode
GeorgeStGeorge replied to GeorgeStGeorge's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
It must be the episode with the Excalbians, the rock-creatures who get Kirk and Spock to team up with Surak and Abe Lincoln against Kahless, Col. Green, Genghis Khan, and some hag to see if "good" is better than "evil." My wife always gets ticked at me when I tell her she's prepared a "worthy"meal, not realizing that I'm quoting "Lincoln" attempting to reassure "Surak" (not realizing the latter was already dead): "A worthy effort, Surak...Worthy!" It sounds like the original series episode "A Taste of Armageddon." George -

Raf is usually gone on weekends.... George

It was "Ruby, Baby." I prefer the Dion version, but Steely Dan and Bjork (!) also covered it. You're up, Wasway! George

Every episode of every series. And don't forget that phasers, photon torpedoes, warp drive, and the transporters are all off-line! George -
Ummm...you don't HAVE to wait for Raf... George

"Who hath sinned, that he was born blind? The man, or his parents?" It appears that Pharaseism is alive and well at TWI. As you mentioned, there were many who prayed for you with a loving heart. I pray as well. And, yes, if your son is miraculously delivered, it will be to God's glory. (Not TWI's.) Until then, your love for him is the greatest good he can have! George

Steely Dan did a cover of the song, but its title is not "Nitefly" (or anything similar). George
-
I think it's actually "Moi, aussi." if I remember my college French. "I, too" would be correct in English, but "Me, too" is proper French. George

Each time I see you baby my heart cries I'm gonna steal you away from all those guys This song has been covered at least twice, so any of three performers will do. George

Remember the man at the Beautiful gate of the temple? Jesus must have passed him many times. Peter and John must have passed him many times without being able to heal him. Thankfully, he did eventually get deliverance, but was he the only cripple at the temple? I doubt it. The man Jesus healed at the pool in Bethsaida wasn't the only person needing deliverance. Was he the only one with faith to be healed? Maybe, but again I doubt it. Faith is certainly a necessary condition for deliverance, but it apparently isn't a sufficient condition. George

I'm pretty sure you're right, Pam (though maybe we should wait for WW to confirm). With a title like that, though, maybe you should have put it in quotes... George -
I'm not sure. I'd better go ask Mr. Wilson. George

"Sgt. Saunders" was the star, but I liked "Cage" and "Littlejohn" the best. George

No, just another line or two from the same movie. Sometimes, these just take a little time. It is assumed that the movie you chose was in the theaters, not made-for-TV or direct-to-video. George

I seem to have lost another post. As I'm sure I wrote earlier, I don't get the Vaseline reference, but if Duh.com means anything, it's probably DUH + DEE + PART + HEAD = "The Departed." George

Right you are, Babe! Joanna Cassidy originally won the Wonder Woman role, but the producer wouldn't have anyone but Lynda Carter. George Peppard was offered the Blake Carrington role but turned it down because of "creative differences." Genevieve Bujold was picked for Capt. Janeway (Star Trek Voyager) but was a b---- to work with and stormed off the set. Kate Mulgrew made a career of it! George
-
The pictures keep coming and going. #3 is George Peppard. In case I haven't made the question clear, Joanna Cassidy has the same relationship to Lynda Carter that George Peppard does to John Forsythe and Genevieve Bujold does to Kate Mulgrew. What is the relationship? George

Yes! "The Enterprise Incident." Both lines are by Spock: the first one I posted was after his deceit was discovered by the Romulans; the second was his attempt to console the Romulan commander while taking her to the brig. You're up, WW. George
