  1. Farm living is the life for me. Green Acres. I remember one episode when Oliver used the residue from around Lisa's hotcakes to make a valve gasket for his car! George
  2. Actually, a lot of people have bit parts that I've missed in movies, so CGJ in Gladiator wasn't out of the question. I does make sense to put a year on a movie title that's been used more than once, to keep us from getting Matthew Broderick...The Producers...Gene Wilder, etc. Aaaanyway.... Lori Petty Tank Girl Malcolm McDowell George
  3. I seem to recall sitting in the living room with my Dad, watching the landing in the afternoon. Wikipedia gives the time of the landing as 20:17 UTC, which, I believe, is 2:17 PM Central. Maybe Sudo's MORNING church service ran into the afternoon? George
  4. Back in 2001, there was a show about the CIA called "The Agency." That's probably what Dooj intended. George
  5. My first guess is "The Perfect Mate" (Next Generation). George
  6. A question for the ages. "What Women Want." George
  7. Well, now that you're here, how about giving us a song line to figure out? As long as it was actually aired (not just an album cut), it's fair game. George
  8. The last two clues make me think "Emergency!"; but I don't see how the first clue would fit. George
  9. Correct. I thought I'd throw in a little C&W. George
  10. "Tank" is correct. Much more entertaining than "Best Defense." George
  11. No, it's not "Best Defense" (a movie I actually did see, however). George
  12. You are correct, Hiway. And, yes, it was the last episode of the original series. George
  13. Well, thank you, could I drink you a buy? Oh, listen to me. What I mean is can I buy you a drink? Anything you please. George
  14. Not bad. I've stumped people on four threads simultaneously! "You do not belong in command of the Enterprise. And I will do everything in my power against you." "Her life could have been as rich as any woman's. If only... if only..." "I've seen the captain feverish, sick, drunk, delirious, terrified, overjoyed, boiling mad. But up to now I have never seen him red-faced with hysteria." George
  15. "Distracts me? A beautiful woman lying naked in a bathtub? [Laughs] ...Where was I?" "He would crawl 50 miles on broken glass, just to sweat in your shadow. " George
  16. This one pretty much gives it away: "Why would anyone want to own a Sherman tank?" "Because it's very hard to shoot yourself while you're cleaning it." "Someone better have a damn good reason for pounding on my door at 7 in the mornin'. Gonna spend some time in my jail." [opens door] "I do believe I got you covered." "Oh, Lord." "It's going to be my great pleasure to shoot that sergeant in his privates." "...and I want you to sign up for counseling." "You can't make me do that." "Let me be clear: if your wife shows up hurt again, my stripes won't mean s--t, the stockade won't mean s--t. I will kill you in a heartbeat! Do you understand me? You WILL get counseling!" George
  17. It was, indeed, Hearts Afire. The second pic was William Safire, noted columnist. George
  18. All you need to do is re-divide the words (and maybe use a little Cockney accent). George Incidentally, I didn't watch this show, in spite of its comely star; but it was on for three years, so you should have heard of it.
  19. I thought Raf would have got it, but very well... George
  20. Well, thank you, could I drink you a buy? George
