Remember when you could actually buy a ticket for a doubleheader? Now, to increase revenue, of course, there are none scheduled. And if they have to play a doubleheader because of a rainout, they'll play a day game, empty the park out, and play a night game. George

Ballparks I've watched baseball in 1.) That no longer exist -- Comiskey Park, the Astrodome, Busch stadium (the first), Candlestick Park 2.) That are around -- Minute Maid Park, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field (the one in Chicago, of course). My favorite: Wrigley Field (but I'll never go to a night game there.) Minute Maid tries to emulate the old-time parks, and it's pretty, though whoever thought that putting a flagpole in deep centerfield (on a hill, no less!) should be shot. The games I saw in Fenway and Candlestick were both late fall night games, so it was more about survival than baseball! George

While passing the time, I happened to hit a site about the women of Star Trek. By chance, the Deanna Troi entry had the quote above. So, now I Know what episode it is (and who the Doctor is). I didn't actually "google" the quotes though. If no one else chimes in, I'll answer. George

I only watched this show occasionally until this episode. This quate sold me: "Life is like a box of chocolates. Cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint craft that you mindlessly wolf down and there's nothing else left to eat. Hmm. The only time this would make sense with Dr. Crusher would be "Encounter at Far Point." So that's my next guess, though I doubt it's correct. George

I say that when Bonds is within a homer or two of Aaron's record that he should be beaned every time he comes up. And, assuming he's not unconscious, bean him again at first base. (I always thought intentional walks were a waste of three pitches.) George

Yeah, the Ernest T. Bass reference at the end was obvious, though I knew what it was from the beginning. In "Return to Mayberry," (the finest "reunion" show ever, IMHO) one of my favorite scenes is when Andy goes to see the Darlings and we have this exchange: "Hey, Sheriff! Haven't seen you in a while." "I've been out of town for twenty years." "Well, I reckon that might PARTLY explain it." George

The last exchange was probably between Data and Dr. Pulaski. Is this the NG episode where she and Data attempt to aid people on another ship and she contracts some aging disease? The Enterprise crew were able to save her by running her through the transporter, but first they had to find some of her DNA. They get it from a hair on her hairbrush, since she's never used the transporter before. George
