  1. I'm flipping all the cards. James Woods starred as defense-attorney-turned-prosecutor Sebastian Stark in "Shark." Panabaker played his daughter. I enjoyed it, so naturally it didn't last long. FREE POST George
  2. Here are three guesses. I have no idea if any are correct. Gone with the Wind (Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh) Casablanca (Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman) It Happened One Night (Clark Gable, Claudette Colbert) George
  3. Pinball Wizard "One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small." George
  4. Satisfaction Not the first line: "You know I didn't even know her name But I was never gonna be the same What a lady, what a night" George
  5. The Godfather "You ain't getting no rematch!" "Don't want one." George (done from memory, so may not be verbatim)
  6. You might wake up some mornin' To the sound of something moving past your window in the wind And if you're quick enough to rise You'll catch a fleeting glimpse of someone's fading shadow George
  7. Correct. (Parodying, of course, the opening of the Tonight Show in the Carson years.) George
  8. No. Characters in this movie include Leo Durocher, Eddie Stanky, Joe Garagiola, Branch Rickey, Pee Wee Reese, and Red Barber. Robert Redford and Jack Nicholson were considered for the Rickey role. The film does not explore the main character's career with the Montreal Royals, but he was hugely popular. After leading the team to the league championship, it was noted: ..."probably the only day in history that a black man ran from a white mob that had love, not lynching, on its mind." The star is perhaps better known for a role in the MCU. The star did many of his own stunts, because he believed that his stunt double's performance was not true to the main character's actions (the actual person portrayed in the movie). George
  9. Alexi Karamazov Peter Gifford Capt. Harrison Byers Adam Cramer Bob Wilson Paul DeVinger George
  10. As well as being the first Best Picture, "Wings" was also the only SILENT film to win that award. (Kind of the opposite of WW's response.) Human's up. George
  11. I can "hear" it, but I can't think of the title. George
  12. EXCELLENT show!!! Not preachy, but powerful. Obviously, a lot of backstory for the disciples not found in the Bible, but true to what we do know of them. George
  13. Pirates of the Caribbean (the first)? George
  14. What was the first movie to win the Academy Award for Best Picture (called Outstanding Picture, then)? What else is unique about that film? George PS Just not to leave the rest of WW's question hanging, it was the Raiders and the Jets.
  15. Yes to Marilyn Monroe. No to "Love Happy." She was, in fact, in "Monkey Business." (Even on the movie poster.) George
  16. The Man with the Golden Gun Maud Adams Tattoo George
  17. I don't remember the teams, but I'm pretty sure it was "Heidi" that interrupted the game. Unfortunately, the networks' solution now is to air a game in its entirety and then show the other shows afterwards. So If you try to tape a show, you might only get the first half, because you tape the last 20-30 minutes of football (or, now, even basketball). I wind up having to tape well into the news and late-night shows in order to see the earlier shows in their entirety. George
  18. Interesting choice, but no. Ladies of the Chorus The Asphalt Jungle All About Eve Love Nest Let's Make It Legal O. Henry's Full House Monkey Business The Seven Year Itch Let's Make Love George
