The actor starred in "Jack of All Trades" and was a regular on "Hercules." George -
Suda, take the "dip" out of your answer. George

I'm not sure what Tom's comment means, but we need an answer here. Perhaps it will help if I mention that the man ruled Yugoslavia for decades. George

Need a nudge, here... George

It was, of course, Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts in "Conspiracy Theory." I remember the scene, where MG is watching with binoculars JR on a treadmill. He keeps searching his radio stations until he finds the one she's listening to (which he can tell by reading her lips as she sings along). :o George

Would those stars have the initials M.G. and J.R., respectively? George

"You wouldn't understand that, would you? You see, I feel sorrier for you than I do for him, because you'll never know the things that love can drive a man to: the ecstasies, the miseries, the broken rules, the desperate chances, the glorious failures, the glorious victories. All of these things you'll never know...simply because the word "love" isn't written into your book." George -
I'm more familiar with the Frankie Valli version of that song. I can't think of a movie featuring it. George
-
Now I know who it is, because I use the product all the time. Bob M. wasn't the actor I had pictured, though. George

I was going to make some stupid comment about doing the "double nickel" on hiway 29, but that's not my style. This is: Happy Birthday, Super One! George

Well, Inspector Javert was a key character in Les Miserables, but there were about a dozen film versions of that. I have a picture in my mind of the actor I think might be singing, but I can't remember his name! George

Original series -- "The Squire of Gothos"? George -
I didn't see the movie, so I'm guessing here... "Epic Movie"? George

I was thinking of Tennessee Ernie Ford, but that's because I was listening on my work laptop. Now that I hear it more clearly, I doubt it's he. And I have no idea who sang the second version! George

Sounds a little like Cardassian justice. Is this the DS9 episode where Miles O'Brien is on trial? (And in a major upset, is actually found NOT guilty!) George -
I couldn't open the second. I notice that the format of the URL is a bit different from the first; maybe that's the problem. I think the singer's name is a state, followed by a Sesame Street character, followed by an auto maker. George

No, though it would be an interesting duel! The actor in question is featured (though not the star) of a new series on cable. In the TV show which is the subject of the clues, his character's name was more like a place. George -

I'm sure wasway will be around soon with word. George

One word. Four syllables. George

I think you're right. I believe the Johnny Rivers version is slightly different. George

She's also one of the stars of "Army Wives," a new series on Lifetime. George

Close, but not quite. George
