I had Kaspersky for several years and was quite happy with it, but as of mid-last year they quit updating it (worried about the Russians, I guess.) It was replaced by UltraAV until the Kaspersky subscription ended, which is right about now. Any suggestions for a replacement? I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I have a single device (a PC). I don't need a password manager, though I could use a VPN. Norton Standard seems to fit the bill, but reviews say it has abominably many popups, continually tries to upsell, and has lousy customer service. McAfee and BitDefender may be good alternatives, or maybe even resubscribe to UltraAV. I just don't know. I would assume that this forum would attract responses from the most knowledgeable GS-ers.
