Was this a show about sad birds? George

Is it coincidence that all your choices are outspoken liberals? Regardless of political affiliation, I though it was a wonderful performance! George

God bless you, Socks! I hope to enjoy your posts until the Lord comes for us. George P.S.: I'm guessing that Kathy's picture is Way Productions, circa 1976. Am I right? What are their names? (Maybe this might be a quiz for the Nostalgia Thread!)

I remember frequent trips to the drug store with my dad to check old vacuum tubes from the TV. In the jazz band I routinely play with, our guitarist/banjoist uses an amp that still runs on tubes! I have no idea how he maintains it. George

Oh I can see there ain't no room for me You're only holding out your heart in sympathy. I'll be strong, I'll try to carry on; Although you know it won't be easy when you're gone. (lines from different verses) George

It was a country waltz, but the singer sounds Scottish or Irish. Could it be Sheena Easton? George

Of course. You're up! George -
I believe Wierwille was Christian and therefore has eternal life. That's because of GOD'S GRACE, not because of Wierwille's works. Too bad he felt the need to continue in sin, so that grace might abound. George

Nope. Earlier show. "Darn, darn, darn, darn, DARN!" "Oh, Goody!" "Hmm. What smells so good?" "I cut myself shaving." "What does Ramone look like?" "He looks a little like Cary Grant, the poor man." George -
Okay, fine. I admit not to have seen it in the theaters, but I assumed that a recent movie starring Luke Wilson would have been seen by somebody. It's "Idiocracy." The premise is that, with no natural predators, mankind's evolution will not generate smarter people (they tend to talk themselves out of having babies), but rather morons who procreate with anything that moves. An average Joe (Wilson) is put in suspended animation. The project is supposed to go for one year, but the funding is cut, and he doesn't get out for 500 years, at which point he's the smartest man in the world. I wouldn't recommend spending $8 to see it, but it's a fun movie. NetFlix it, or something. New movie: "I love my wife, but it's like living with a plague of locusts." "What these books have conclusively proven is that the diffence between men and women is exactly 38 pages." "Can I quote you, Mark?" "Not before I quote me." George

Oops! I knew that! George -
I don't know of any in East Texas. Except for a lot of rain in Galveston, the Houston area was essentially untouched. Louisiana will get some rain. George

I don't know what search tool you used, but Zabasearch and Intelius both keep old addresses on file for about 20 years. LCM was from Kansas, and I expect that his folks are still there; we know he lived in New Knoxville. Toledo is probably the most recent. George -

The loop-around model is considered a low probability. At first, it seemed as though the storm would come right at us, but it seems to be headed further east up the coast. HumBUG, is more like it! Hey, P-Mosh! Check the Texas thread. You're welcome to come to the "Thank God I'm not a Pig" roast Oct.6. George

That, or a bikini! Seriously, here's how to get there: Take SH 288 south from Houston. Go all the way through Lake Jackson, Clute, and Freeport until 288 merges with SH 36. Continue on 36 (east) until it ends at FM 1495. Turn right, and follow 1495 over a big bridge. At the end of the bridge is CR 723. Turn left, and go until it ends. Turn right, and you're there. We have the Quintana and Bryan Pavilions reserved. If someone is actually manning the entrance gate, tell him you're there for the Pig Roast and you won't have to pay. In case of rain, the roast will be at Richwood Park (covered pavilion): Take 288 S to Lake Jackson. Take the first exit (FM 2004). Turn Left. Continue on 2004 until you cross RR tracks. At the next light (Oyster Creek Dr.), turn right. At the second street (Wisteria), turn left. At the stop sign, turn right. Polk Elementary will be on your right, and the park on your left. George

Try comic books. Even the ones with LOTS of words only take about 15 minutes! :B) George

Well, beyond the obvious (sensational looks, lots of money, brains, and nymphomania), I think it's important to have a woman who doesn't consider you a fixer-upper. This is me. Love me, or leave me alone. George

It would appear that Raf knows what it is. If you didn't google it, please give the title. George
