"Sounds like they're not ready." "Your job, short of violating the Prime Directive, is to make sure that they are." "If you don't take your hand off my hip, you'll never be able to raise a glass with it again." "Oh, I love a woman in uniform!" "This is where the adventure is. This is where heroes are made. Right here... in the wilderness." "Have you ever served with any Bajoran women?" "No. Why?" "Just wondering." "Doctor, most people in my experience wouldn't know reason if it walked up and shook their hand." "That may be the most important thing to understand about humans. It is the unknown that defines our existence." "Fire six photon torpedoes across their bow." "All we HAVE is six photon torpedoes!" "We won't win this battle with torpedoes." "I suppose you want the office." "Well, I was hoping to say hello first, and *then* take the office, but we can do it in any order you like." [sarcastically] "Hello!" George -
I've heard of it but haven't seen it. George

I'll have one later today. George

It's not a movie; it's a cartoon. They're Pinky and the Brain, yes, Pinky and the Brain. One is a genius; the other's insane. They're laboratory mice; their genes have been spliced; They're dinky -- they're Pinky and the Brain! NARF! George

"Say, suppose the ship hits an iceberg and sinks. Which one of them do you save from drowning?" "Those girls couldn't drown." "I like a man who can run faster than I can." "When love goes wrong, nothing goes right." George

Catcup, Have a wonderful birthday and a blessed year! George

Unless you mean you actually go up to strangers and invite them to eat with you, I don't think you got my meaning. Sure, if you go by yourself to Burger King and eat there, you will be eating out with strangers; but you probably won't sit at a table with anyone else unless you're at least acquainted with him; and the stronger the bond, the more likely you are to sit with him. At the birthday party referred to by nottawayfer, she broke bread (or at least cake) with those she cared about. Which was my point. George
-
Yes. go ahead. I honestly have no idea. George
-
But it IS about "breaking bread together." In general, one doesn't eat with people he's not intimate with. Of course, there are times when that's not true (business functions, TWI functions); but think about it. You go out to eat; whom do you eat with -- strangers? You eat in your work (or school) cafeteria; you sit with the closest associates you have. One real sign of friendship is whom you coose to eat with! George

It's "Yo' Mama." or something like that... George

I'm not sure you'd win that bet, but thanks! George

That was pretty neat. I've been to Rome City twice (once for a wedding, once for an Advanced Class), and it didn't seem that gloomy to me. Of course, I was never there in the winter... George

The number of stars is an average, so it will take a few others to move Rhino up. Or down. George

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EAGLE-BABE! George

Congratulations, Rascal! Your perseverance reminds me of this classic line: "Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later [makes squish gesture] get squish just like grape. Here, karate, same thing. Either you karate do "yes" or karate do "no." You karate do "guess so," [makes squish gesture] just like grape. Understand?" Well done! George
