  1. Darn! It's a Supremes' song, but I can't remember which one! George
  2. I hardly ever watched the show, but I'll guess "Everybody Loves Raymond." George
  3. Dot, We missed you when you took your "leave of absence" from GS a couple of years ago. We're glad to have you back! God's greatest blessings to you, George
  4. "I have to admit that it has a sort of strange fascination - how long can two people talk about nothing?" "Captain.. Request permission to be excused from the reception.." "Granted. I wish I could excuse myself." "Who are you? What are you doing on my ship?" "The baryon sweep uses a high-frequency plasma field. That phaser won't work." "You're probably right...but I'm willing to bet that this will." George
  5. That's it! (Sorry I forgot the "Next"!) George
  6. Handel's "Fireworks Suite" is his other most recognizable work (well, except for the "Hallelujah Chorus" in the "Messiah"). Many of the themes are similar to the "Water Music" but they are different. George
  7. I know. Actually, I was making fun of Oprah, who said that kids shouldn't have to learn arithmetic because cheap calculators are available! The Countess is better, though still not 100%. Thanks. George
  8. Obviously DS9, but the rest I'm not sure of. Is it the episode where Tom Riker (disguised as his transporter twin, Will Riker) tries to commandeer the Defiant and help the Maquis? George
  9. Krys is right. It's definitely a movement from Handel's "Water Music." George
  10. Note also: unless you're absolutely sure you have it correct (and I believe bfh did, this time), wait for confirmation before posting another song. George P.S. wing and any others lurking: feel free to join the other games (Name that Flick, Name that TV show, Name that Star Trek episode, Movie Pictionary, TV Pictionary, Triple Movie Links, Songs Remembered from Just One Line). We're always looking for "new blood" to join the old, familiar faces. The rules are generally given in the first couple of posts on the thread.
  11. NG episode "The Wounded"? O'Brien helps Picard stop a rogue Starfleet captain from attacking a Cardassian ship (even though the captain was "right" in doing so). O'Brien is forced to deal with memories of a previous massacre by the Cardassians. George
  12. Hey, she was HOT, all right? Who needs maps when we have GPS, anyway? George
  13. Sorry. All the voices drown it out! George
  14. Close, but it's partly my fault, since I didn't have the title quite right. Try this instead: five pics George
  15. Good enough. DS9 "Way of the Warrior." Go WW. George
  16. What's another name for the USA? George
  17. "If you turn your back on me now, for as long as I live, you will not be welcome anywhere in the Klingon Empire. Your family will be removed from the High Council, your lands seized, and your House stripped of its titles. You will have nothing!" "Except my honor." "I finally realized it wasn't Starfleet I wanted to get away from. I was trying to escape the pain I felt after my wife's death. I thought I could take the uniform, wrap it around the pain, and toss them both away. But it doesn't work like that. Running may help for a little while, but sooner or later the pain catches up with you. And the only way to get rid of it is to stand your ground and face it." "The ambient noise level in this room is less than 30 decibels! On an average day it's 65. When there are Klingons in the room in can go as high as 85!" "So, what you're trying to say is: It's quiet in here?" "Too quiet!" "They broke seven of your transverse ribs and fractured your clavicle!" "Ah, but I got off several cutting remarks which no doubt did serious damage to their egos." "You're saying my son is without honor?" "I'm saying your son is a coward and a liar!" "And what of his father?!" "That remains to be seen." "Let me guess. You're either lost, or desperately searching for a good tailor." "Guess again!" George
  18. This should do it... "You care more about this *stupid* plane than you do about me!" "Me? You're the one with the cello between her legs eight hours a day!" "Well, at least that gives me some satisfaction!" "Yeah, well, at least when I'm in the plane I get some sense of movement!" "If you'll excuse me, I've got to get ready for the big night." "Oh, that's right, you're about to romance a woman. You'll want to shower, shave, buy chloroform..." "This song I learned in Italy. For awhile it was the only English I knew... My goat knows the bowling score, halleluiah..." "It's 'Michael, row the boat ashore'." "No!" "I thought Alex had better taste in men than to go out with you." "Well, obviously, she doesn't." "Helen, you're the symphony; I'm a tractor pull. You're the ballet; I'm ...another tractor pull." "This is the dumbest thing Brian's ever done, and he once painted me blue." George
  19. I say, give us the answer and a clue to a new one. George
  20. Sometimes, if you don't hear the melody with it, the lyric doesn't click (at least not for me). George
