Name that Star Trek Episode
GeorgeStGeorge replied to GeorgeStGeorge's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
So darn close. I suppose I'll give it to you, because Enterprise episodes don't garner much attention. The episode was "The Andorian Incident," where we first meet the Andorians, finding out that they've been rivals of the Vulcans for a long time. The crew visits a Vulcan spiritual outpost, P'Jem, which has been attacked byAndorians. It turns out that it was really a big spy station, and that the Vulcans were spying on Andoria from there. (A follow-up episode was entitled "Shadows of P'Jem.") Engage, Mr Steve! George -
Even more recent. "You are most wise to tie your horse. Were he to cover an Arab mare --" "--the foal would have to be destroyed before it touches the ground... as would the sire." "You hear that? Keep your pride tucked!" "The Indians of the West. You have seen their vanishing kind?" "I am their kind." "What about your ability to tell the future?" "If I had the ability to foretell the future, perhaps I would have bet on a painted horse." "I didn't join this race to finish in second place!" "Why did you then?" "Mister... you can say anything you want about me. I'm gonna have to ask you not to talk about my horse that way." "How is the coffee? If you were to put a horseshoe in it, do you suppose it would stand erect?" "At your age uncle, I suppose it is that only thing that might!" "Boldly spoken... for a man with no wives." George

"Don't get your antennas all up in a twist." "I've heard Vulcan women force their men to fight to the death. Would you like me to kill someone for you?" "Leave her alone." "Would you like me to kill him?" "Our mission is to make contact with those whom humans consider new life and new civilizations." "The icon in that shrine is perched at an odd angle." "Oddly perched, huh? We'd better call Starfleet Command." George -
Right. Now put it together with the first pic. Can you figure out the name of a TV show? (This particular one is still on the air.) George

Good guess, but no. This is a more recent film. Glad to have you playing! Try again. George

Name that TV Show [EZ quotes only]

You got it, TLB! Your turn to post. Note that it's okay (advisable, actually) to "google" clues for us. It's just not allowed for us to google to get the answer. IMDb.com, TV.com, and other sites have quotes, but you can use any you have on tape or remember, as well. George -

"No, this isn't right." "It's not about being right. It's about positioning. My father won a battle today." "And Chloe's father is a casualty." "True. But the war's just starting, and I have the greatest advantage. He thinks I'm weak." "How is she?" "It's been really tough. She could use some moral support." "I sent her a card." "Nothing says "I love you" more than a $1.50 piece of cardboard." "I was right about you all along. You're not even human." "You have abilities I couldn't even dream of. And I admire that you use them to save the people you're close to." "But?" "But there's a whole world of people out there. They need us. With your potential... you can't wait for them to come to you. When you're ready to do something about that... you let me know." "Hey. You guys are not gonna believe what just happened to me. I'm out there jogging along, minding my own business when, out of nowhere, a barn door comes falling from the clear, blue sky and almost crushes me. How does that happen?" "You know you can't donate." "I know, Dad, but what am I supposed to tell her?" "That you have a problem with needles, which you technically do." "Great, not only do I lie, but I look like a wuss." "I didn't know you were such a history buff." "I'm not; I'm just interested in people who ruled the world before they were thirty." "I promise I'm not a criminal mastermind." "I know; a criminal mastermind would have worn a mask." "How did you manage to break in there without anyone catching you?" "Just lucky I guess." "Well you are the luckiest person I know. Let's hope it doesn't run out by tomorrow." "You know that darkness you talked about? I think it's in everyone and people like my father just know how to bring it out." "I'm swearing off men." "We're not all bad." "Maybe you should just swear off heat sucking horn dogs." George -

Where is everybody? At least Purple Days ought to be here. "Popeye." I'll post another later, unless a lurker would like to give it a try. George

That's it! By teaching the kids to "feed the birds," Mary indirectly caused a run on the bank. "Bert" (Dick van Dyke) is a chimney sweep, a one-man-band, and a street chalk artist. Go, Dooj! George

Before I answer, I'll see if anyone else recognizes the famous swing orchestra leader. George

This one will be a little tougher. "Our mission is to make contact with those whom humans consider new life and new civilizations." "The icon in that shrine is perched at an odd angle." "Oddly perched, huh? We'd better call Starfleet Command." George -

OK. This is the NG episode where bug creatures from another galaxy have taken over key people in Starfleet. I think it's called "Conspiracy." George -
Could it be "The Wizard of Oz"? George

You've got it all, except that the first pic does not involve the Roman alphabet. George
