  1. I don't remember the exact reason for the fight. I think the king wanted Tasha for his harem. Anyway, Tasha and the princess fought with poisoned gloves. I think that Tasha actually killed her, so that she was no longer officially married, making the king no longer the possessor of her wealth. Dr. Crusher brought her back to life, of course. George
  2. Well, thanks, but I just can't seem to get away from describing the actual plot, albeit in clouded terms. Your initial description of "The Wizard of Oz" was far more clever, because the killings in a foreign land were really incidental to the real plot. George
  3. You need the actress' name. I can tell you're not a male between the ages of 40 and 55! George
  4. Actually, I kind of enjoyed the movie; but I agree that the TV show was better. Steve!, you're up! George
  5. "I now reiterate these sentiments; and in doing so, I only press upon the public attention the most conclusive evidence of which the case is susceptible, that the property, peace and security of no section are to be in any wise endangered by the now incoming Administration. I add too, that all the protection which, consistently with the Constitution and the laws, can be given, will be cheerfully given to all the States when lawfully demanded, for whatever cause -- as cheerfully to one section as to another." George
  6. Is this the episode where Tasha has to fight a battle to the death with some alien princess (the result eventually being that the princess deposes the king)? George
  7. No major damage from Ike (see the prayer thread). Thanks for the concern. Mark Twain? George
  8. Don't say it three times! ;) You're up! George
  9. You can't see the FIRST pic? It's an infant. George
  10. You left out that little detail. Of course, I was "lip-locking" much later in life, anyway. George
  11. Yep! HALLE + WOOD + LAND You're up! George
  12. Thanks, Steve!. I actually found an easier way. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. Click the Programs tab. Click the Reset Web Settings button. Now everything opens with IE again. George
  13. Obviously an early NG episode. I'll guess "Encounter at Farpoint." George
  14. I guess it just depends on how old you and your girlfriend were. Since you're 55 (according to your profile), 1970-1975 would have put you at 17-22. George
  15. "The Beautician and the Beast"? George
  16. We don't google to get the answers, though we usually do to look up quotes to post. I'm guessing that this means it's a western... This, I suppose, would put it around 1970-1975. Can you post more quotes? George
  17. Since "Bluze" has gone "black," here's an easy one: The south side of Chicago is the baddest part of town George
  18. You got it, Mr. Up! "Music Man" it is. Your turn. George
  19. OK. Let's try a different woman... George
  20. "A man can't turn tail and run just because a little personal risk is involved. What did Shakespeare say? "Cowards die a thousand deaths, the brave man... only 500"?" "It's as clear as a buttonhook in the well water!" "So what the heck? You're welcome! Join us at the picnic! You can eat your fill of all the food you bring yourself." George
