  1. "You're an attractive woman. I'm sure your husband would prefer it if you were returned to him without...disfigurement." "I'm not telling you anything." "I want you tell me exactly what you've been doing here and for how long." "Understand this, Bill. I don't work for you any more." "Did you revise the casualty projections?" "Of course. Here they are." "Just give me the number." "Two to five million dead within the first 48 hours." George
  2. That's it! Take it away, NIS! George
  3. One of Dooj's three "guesses" is correct. It's just a matter of saying it quickly. It was a fairly recent movie (last year, I think), but not "Norbit." George
  4. I would have to guess "Car 54, Where Are You?" George
  5. Actually, you are. The person who gets the last clue gets to post one. Of course, we like to have new players, so I say we leave it up to wrdsandwrks to see whether she wants to post one or go ahead with your clue. George
  6. No. Since it appears our Trekkies aren't playing, here's a hint. His name is the second half of a Christmas-time drink. George
  7. $3.85-3.95 locally, though Houston runs about a dime higher. I'm thankful I don't own a diesel. Remember when diesel was CHEAPER than gas? It's funny (in a sad way). Now, if I use a credit card at the pump, it automatically shuts off at $75, I think because the system automatically "reserves" $75 when you use a card. My wife has overdrawn her balance in the bank when a gas station "reserved" $75 on her bank card, even though the actual purchase was about $30. Until a month or so ago, I never had to worry about $75 being enough to fill the tank. George
  8. You're right about it being a Ferengi, but he's wearing a Starfleet uniform. That narrows it down to one character. George
  9. "Oh, God I dreamed." "So did I. What did you dream?" "I was lying naked on a beach in the South Seas. The tide was coming up to my toes. The sun was beating down. My skin hot and cool at the same time. It was wonderful. What was yours?" "I dreamed I tore all the skin off my face and was somebody else underneath." "You have problems." "I'm aware of that." George
  10. Inconceivable! "The Princess Bride" George
  11. Sorry for letting this slip! two pics, need a character's name George
  12. Don't mind me. I get enough "playing time." If you know one, just answer. (I'm pretty sure you're right about "Working Girl," but maybe we'll wait for Steve! to confirm...) George
  13. The concert is scheduled for 3:30 PM on Sunday, June 22, in Elizabeth Hall at Stetson University. George
  14. I will be in DeLand next weekend to play in a "National Community Band," and I'm bringing my lovely wife. I shall be busy with rehearsals Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning. The concert is Sunday afternoon. It might be nice to meet a GS-er or two Saturday and Sunday night, and if anyone would volunteer to keep my wife from spending money entertain my wife part of Saturday, that would be appreciated. Also, the concert will be free, and you're all invited. I'll have details in my next post. Raf, Belle, any others, interested? George
  15. Right. The first two were Riddler quotes, the last a Mr. Freeze quote. Have at it, Lupine Crusader! George
  16. And "Triple Movie Links" has become Solitaire. Feel free to play there, as well! George
  17. Actually, he "blew it" throughout the movie ;) but I think you're right! George
  18. Yes, indeed. About the only large chunk of The Communist Manifesto I could find without the words communist, proletariat, or bourgeoisie in it! George
  19. Some people just get better with age! ;) Happy Birthday, Bowtwi! George
  20. You are horrified at our intending to do away with private property. But in your existing society, private property is already done away with for nine-tenths of the population; its existence for the few is solely due to its non-existence in the hands of those nine-tenths. You reproach us, therefore, with intending to do away with a form of property, the necessary condition for whose existence is the non-existence of any property for the immense majority of society. George
  21. "This troubled planet is a place of most violent contrasts... those who receive the rewards are totally separated from those who shoulder the burdens. It is not a wise leadership." "Light and warmth! That's necessary to all humanoids." "Violence in reality is quite different from theory." "You sleep lightly, Captain." "Duty is a good teacher." "Captain's log, stardate 5818.4. A botanical plague is devastating a planet in the quadrant of the galaxy where the Enterprise is operating at present. It threatens to destroy the vegetation on the entire planet, leaving it uninhabitable." George
