  1. Steve!, how long have you been waiting to use that one? George
  2. Good enough. The episode was titled "Parallax." It was one of the first episodes, so there was a great deal of tension between the Starfleet and Maquis personnel. George
  3. If the common link is Candace Bergen, it could be "Murphy Brown." George
  4. Sorry. I guess I'm just being obtuse here. Maybe Raf will end the suspense... George
  5. No idea. Sounds pretty funny, though! George
  6. "Wait a minute, wait. Wait a minute. Let me get this straight. We were cruising along at warp seven. Then, we picked up a distress call and moved in to investigate. But now, you're saying that the other ship is actually just a reflection of us and that the distress call is actually just the Captain's opening hail. But we picked up the distress call before she sent the hail. How could we have been seeing a reflection of something we hadn't even done yet? Am I making any sense here?" "No, but that's OK." "I didn't even come close to hitting him that hard." "So on the one side, I'm facing a Vulcan who wants court martial you. And on the other, I'm facing all the Maquis who are ready to seize this ship over this. You've turned this into one lousy day for me, Torres!" "Engine efficiency is down another fifteen percent. If we don't get more power to the warp drive, we're all going to have to get out and push." "Now I know how Hippocrates felt when the King needed him to trim a hangnail." "I will never cease to be amazed at the Human capacity for hyperbole." George
  7. What I'd LIKE to do is post a recording of a march I wrote which incorporates parts of five hymns. Unfortunately, the file is over 3 MB. Maybe I'll see if I can get Sudo to put it up on his website and post a link. He's done that a few times for me on the Nostalgia Thread. George

    Quiz Time

Larry Flint also comes to mind. George
  9. Do you mean, like broadband and dial-up? :D George
  10. I find no scriptural evidence for angels dancing. George
  11. I'd answer, but then I'd feel compelled to post another one... George
  12. "All nine, all the time." Of course, this was never taken literally; one can't speak in tongues and prophesy simultaneously, for instance. Still, it set a standard that none of the apostles achieved! George
  13. For a STRONG hint, take a look at waysider's latest post on this thread. George
  14. "Engine efficiency is down another fifteen percent. If we don't get more power to the warp drive, we're all going to have to get out and push." "Now I know how Hippocrates felt when the King needed him to trim a hangnail." "I will never cease to be amazed at the Human capacity for hyperbole." George
  15. Tell me what you think about VPW, and I'll tell you how far gone you are spiritually! ;) George
  16. Since fornication and adultery are both sins, that hardly matters. What was the big misdirection (IMHO) was trying to make every reference to fornication an account of spiritual fornication (i.e., idolatry). Hey, VP, why would God use (physical) fornication to represent idolatry if fornication weren't wrong, too? George
  17. Gee, I wonder what this one could be. Could it be "SPACE SEED"? George :)
  18. Too bad I didn't get it from your first clue. It's more keeping with the theme of this thread! I'll try to come up with another soon. George
  19. I believe VP explained this as God "winking" at his ignorance, as he did for Gideon. When VP became "more spiritually mature," such phenomenal evidence was no longer necessary. George
  20. Nerd/Louis ER/docs write diary/journal ?? George
  21. Interesting. I thought I was the only one who even remembered Malcolm McDowall's version of Roarke, much less remebered it fondly! George
  22. You would be right. After the first duh-umm, there's a marching band, and after the second, Raymond Burr. You're up, Steve!. George
