  1. "Morn should keep his big mouth shut!" "Home? Where is it? Some day we'll know... cousin." "Have you known any twinned Miradorn, commander?" "I'm afraid I haven't met any before now." "In my species, we are not just twin brothers... together we are a self... two halves of one being. I am incomplete now." "The fact that you just killed a man doesn't affect your appetite?" "You could've left me behind." "Don't thank me, I already regret it." George
  2. I love the night life; I love to boogie... "Love at First Bite." "Mark doesn't want you because you're mean and evil. He wants me because I am nice and sweet and pure, so f--- off!" "Oh Mark, I can't believe you're going to throw away our relationship on a one-night stand with a chauffeur and a butler and a slut who eats buttons! But you did. You really did!" "Oh, Robin, PLEASE?" "Mark, we've been through this sex thing a million times." "Half way through it a million times. It's what people do when they're in love! It's natural. It's right." "Well it's not natural or right for me to do it in a car." "What about an ice cream truck?" George
  3. I haven't seen this one in a long time, but the "black chicken" line would have worked in the "Flicks remembered from one line" thread! A fitting movie for this time of year, especially since the "black chicken" was a bat. Obviously, Raf knows it, too. I'll give the answer later, if no one else does. George
  4. I'm having trouble remembering the exact title. It was sort of a spoof of the kung fu genre. One kid tried to fool people into thinking he was adept at martial arts because he was oriental. I'm sure it will come to me. George
  5. Rule 8 has a problem if one of the nouns is replaced by a pronoun, and I'm not sure of the correct resolution. Suppose we were already talking about Cesar. Would one say, "He and Maribel's house"; or, "His and Maribel's house"; or (this strikes me as being the worst option) "Him and Maribel's house"? (Replacing Maribel by her isn't as problematic. I'm sure the correct form there would be "Cesar and her house", though "Cesar's and her house" has a better ring to it.) Again, if separate items are being discussed, there isn't as big a problem: "His and Maribel's job contracts" or "Cesar's and her job contracts" work just fine. George
  6. Assuming I'm right, "Have you known any twinned Miradorn, commander?" "I'm afraid I haven't met any before now." "In my species, we are not just twin brothers... together we are a self... two halves of one being. I am incomplete now." "The fact that you just killed a man doesn't affect your appetite?" "You could've left me behind." "Don't thank me, I already regret it." George

  8. "Changed" was filmed at PFAL 77, which VPW taught at Ball State University. Perhaps you were there... George
  9. Original series "I, Mudd." Harry and Kirk knock out "Norman" with an antinomy. (Haven't had a chance to use THAT word since logic class in college!) George
  10. Steve!'s response implies the NG episode "Darmok." As I recall, Starfleet had had encounters with the Tamarians but never understood them. WW's first exchange would belie that. George
  11. Sure sounds like James T. Kirk's final words to me, Steve!. George
  12. Yes, I did use the same exchange in "Name That Flick," but it was so unique that I thought I'd use it here, as well. If no one got it, I'd have gone with "D'oh!" Blackest Night has been interesting. (I especially like the fact that the black rings can't raise from the dead someone "at peace.") Making Black Hand, previously a second-rate villain, the cornerstone of the series is a little silly though. I have a Green Lantern T-shirt and ring. I don't need the others. :) I assume that someone (probably Hal Jordan) will wield all of the colored rings, combining them into a white power to destroy the black ones. Anyway, you're up! George
  13. Act2 said she "can't change the order of the words." (I presume that this means she is not allowed to do so, not that she is incapable of the act.) Therefore, this is a matter of the proper punctuation. George
  14. This might not give it away to everyone, but it was my favorite exchange: "What was THAT?" "I believe it was the sound the Green Lantern made when Sinestro through him into a vat of acid." George
  15. That's it! (And those were some of the "cleaner" lines.) George
  16. If "Seminars for Seniors" is the meaning, then go with "Seniors' Seminars" George
  17. I'll give it a go, then. "Holy s---, a talking beaver!" "A chocolate river! Mmm! Mmm! Chocolate! Hahahaha!" "That's actually the sewer line." "What are you doing?" [cleaning a doorknob] "Willy told me he wanted his knob polished." "Dumbass." George
  18. I could probably do this one in either order, but Steve Martin My Blue Heaven Rick Moranis George

    episodes

Well, I gotta tell ya, last night's episode was "weird science" to say the least. A "sip" of liquid nitrogen would not be enough to kill anyone. It might sting for a moment, but it would boil off before doing any harm. Now if someone poured a whole Thermos of the stuff down your throat... Abby's gas chromatograph was nonsense, as well. And finding "residues of liquid nitrogen" in the discarded Thermos -- not going to happen. (Once it evaporates, LN2 is the same as the nitrogen in the air.) This wasn't a Halloween episode; it was April Fool's! George

  21. Maybe I can get this started again. three pics, need a name George
  22. "On pure speculation... just an educated guess – I'd say that man is alive." "It's like a jigsaw puzzle, all one color. No key to where the pieces fit in. Why?" "No , don't... No, please!" "It shouldn't hurt; not like this, it didn't hurt us." "I am not like you." George
