  1. Until just an hour ago, I haven't been able to access this site for three days. I know ChattyKathy also had the same problem, but it's clear that many (if not most) of you had no such problem. Was I on "double secret probation"? Seriously, any ideas what happened? I didn't do anything differently this evening; just all of a sudden, I'm back in! George
  2. Is this the (NG, obviously) episode where an aging Admiral takes a youth serum to go up against an old foe? George
  3. Yes, It's Snoopy and the Red Baron. The Christmas version came a year or two later. I haven't been able to access this site since New Year's Eve. I haven't been ignoring you! George
  4. Yeah. It's just that I (and some others) haven't been able to access this site for three days; but it would seem that many of you have been able to. Anyway... "Why do Chet's kids look at him like he's Zeus and my kids look at me like I'm a rack of lawn tools at Sears?" "You'll have to excuse my brother-in-law. He gets a couple of cocktails in him and he becomes an expert on everything." "I don't need cocktails for that. Was that a shot?" "No, that was the truth." "Oh, that was a shot!" "That... was a shot." [to the bartender] "Speaking of shots, set us up!" George
  5. Yes, they're real; and they're SPECTACULAR! ;) George
  6. "Trading Places," of course. George
  7. I disagree that googling is "naughty" in this case, because I had to pretty much figure it out to make the search worthwhile. (Unlike, say, Name that Tune, where it would be trivial to google the lyric you're given.) Without googling, there was no way I'd have recognized this particular "Cinderella." I think your first clue was quite good, except that the movie itself probably isn't that well-known. The last clue was good for a generic "Cinderella." I'm not criticizing, just critiquing. This thread is the hardest, at least for me, to come up with clues for. Linda, you're up if you want it. George
  8. These are the first ENGLISH words in teh song: After the turn of the century In the clear blue skies over Germany George
  9. Spell his last name right, and you'll probably get it. George
  10. It just occurred to me that it's Cinderella, also. I googled "Cinderella" and "Chamberlain" and came up with "The Slipper and the Rose: The Story of Cinderella" starring Richard Chamberlain. We can wait for Trefor's confirmation. I hope you have an idea for a new one, Linda, because I don't! George
  11. This is just to get all the clues together. Still not quite clicking for me, though. A Frosty movie about footwear and flowers with singing on tombs where love has nothing to do with getting married. Two Chamberlains but one is playing one and the other is one playing. The movie gets a mention in another movie about a famous interview. Get it right and you will have a ball but watch the clock. George
  12. Sorry. I should have waited for the "official" go ahead, but HWTB seemed pretty sure. Anyway, you're up again! George
  13. Jim Belushi Trading Places Denholm Elliot George
  14. This one's a little weird, because the title appears every other line. ----------- Since you left me and you said goodbye ----------- All I do is sit and cry ----------- You went away and left me misery ----------- And that's the way it'll always be George
  15. I meant it as a good thing. Just a Baba Wawa pronunciation of "X-ray vision." :) George
  16. "Ain't no Sunshine When She's Gone" by Al Greene? George
  17. I never thought of Atoz as "A to Z." Interesting! You have the correct episode: "All our Yesterdays." Spock does comment in the episode how he has eaten meat, and enjoyed it, though he plans to set up some sort of nursery to provide his usual vegetarian sustenance. His love interest was played by a young Mariette Hartley. Your turn! George
  18. I've never even heard of Pinks. What's it about? Anyway, Three pics, need a name George
  19. Kathy Najimy Sister Act Whoopi Goldberg George
  20. Maybe I should have used the first line: Dip-dip-dip-dip-dip-dip-dip-dip-yum-yum-yum-yum-yum-yum GET A JOB. Free post! George
