  4. Oh, well. I know I' was right. "When it rains, it's like there's a rooftop on the world. Each raindrop makes a sound the first time it falls on a surface. Just then, it's like I... it's like I can see again. And I... I just wanna... I just wanna see you." [smiles] "Okay." "Look. Here it comes... My God... you are so beautiful." "What? Matt, what's wrong? Matt?" "I'm sorry... I have to go." "Stay. Stay with me." "I was just looking for some honey. Could you help me out?" "Right in front of you." [chuckles] "Well, could you be a little bit more specific?" "What are you..." "Blind? Yeah." George
  5. Well, Okay. By the way Gen, just go to memory-alpha.org for summaries and quotes from all the Star Trek shows. You don't have to remember them all! "Your logic is impeccable, Captain. We are in grave danger!" "It's not easy to lose a bright and promising son." George
  6. "Momma Told Me not to Come" 3 Dog Night I thought love was only true in fairy tales George
  7. Think "photographer with broken leg." There was a remake (made-for-TV?) starring Christopher Reeve in his wheelchair. George
  8. I got no problem lettin' the lass take a turn! George
  9. "Batman" (first Michael Keaton one, not he Adam West version). George
  10. I'm guesing that the odd capitalization is some sort of clue, too; but I don't get it. George
  11. "Parker. You know, I used to think it was benign neglect, but now I see that you are intentionally screwing me." "This is why we're here: because this little gray rock sells for twenty million a kilo." George
  12. I was HOPING this would be more than a two-person game! I'm sure you're correct, also. So, you can wait for PD's "official" blessing, or go ahead and post one. Let's see what you've got! George
  13. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." As it happens, this year's theme for National Chemistry Week is "Chemistry Behind the Scenes," or how chemistry is used in special effects. At a demonstration at the local mall this past Saturday, a couple of associates and I showed some film clips and then did chemistry "tricks" to imitate them. We used the scenes from IJ&TLC where Dad is shot and Indy uses water from the Holy Grail to heal him. Using a squirt gun, I "shot" one of them with baking soda solution. His shirt was pre-treated with phenophthalein, which turned red in the presence of the weak base. Then, I poured vinegar from my chalice onto the "wound," decolorizing teh phenolphthalein with the acid. The kids thought it was pretty cool. I'll post a new movie soon. George
  14. I forget the name of the episode, but if he was saying "I am Tosk," then he was a of a species bred to be prey for another species. O'Brien helps him out a couple of times. George
  15. Not a trade name. Generic. Mexican corn chip with cheese. Also remember that I often use a "D" sound to approximate "TH" George
  16. I suspect that one of the grandfathers was the slave of the other, but I can't think of the movie. George
  17. Dustin Hoffman The Graduate Katherine Ross George
  18. It sounds familiar, but I'm guessing it's a movie I haven't seen. I think there was one a few years back about the ethics of killing someone who is supposed to commit some atrocity in the future, but hasn't done it yet. Kind of like going back to 1900 and killing Hitler. George
  19. You've almost got it. What kind of corn chip? George
  20. That's probably Spock or Data. I'll guess it's the NG episode where a collector of rare items fakes Data's death and kidnaps him. The title escapes me, but Saul Rubinek played the collector. George
