  1. "If they were to give me two more excavators, I'd be a year ahead of the plan by now." "You're an impatient generation." "Weren't you?" "Yes, we were, very. Oh, don't be so impatient, Comrade Engineer. We've come very far, very fast." "Yes, I know that, Comrade General." "Yes, but do you know what it cost? There were children in those days who lived off human flesh. Did you know that?" "Who are you to refuse my sugar? Who are you to refuse me anything?" "There are two kinds of men and only two. And that young man is one kind. He is high-minded. He is pure. He's the kind of man the world pretends to look up to, and in fact despises. He is the kind of man who breeds unhappiness, particularly in women. Do you understand? I think you do. There's another kind. Not high-minded, not pure, but alive. Now, that your tastes at this time should incline towards the juvenile is understandable; but for you to marry that boy would be a disaster. Because there's two kinds of women. There are two kinds of women and you, as we well know, are not the first kind. You, my dear, are a slut." George
  2. I guess my point was that I would assume you'd simply IGNORE Geer, given your opinion of him, so why even mention the idea of harassing him? It seemed like a non sequitur. Nothing to see here. Move on. :) George
  3. "Pinball Wizard" On a cold and grey Chicago morn, another little baby child is born... George
  4. That was one of the strangest remarks I've seen. Socks, you usually put a light spin on things, so I'm not sure how much of that was in jest. Why would you even consider chasing him down or harassing him? Or, did you mean, chase him down to talk about your past? George
  5. I imagine it would have to do with the months-long night in northern Alaska. The title, then probably ends in "Night," but nothing comes immediately to mind. George
  6. It was the taxes line that I eventually remembered. Then everything else fell into place. "There are two kinds of men and only two. There are two kinds of women and you, as we well know, are not the first kind. You, my dear, are a slut." George
  7. [kicking myself] "Apollo 13" To be fair, it hit me this morning on the way to work, before I saw your latest post. George
  8. Well, then, if there's a giveaway line, please use it. It's clear that Human and I don't recognize it, and we may be the only ones playing. George

Getting the new grandson started off right!
  10. No. Nothing about Nixon in Green Lantern. I assume it'a a Vietnam movie. George
  11. There are a lot of famous movies I haven't seen. For instance, "Apocalypse Now"? George
  12. I'm prety much a "DC zombie." If it's a Marvel (or smaller company) character, I'm less likely to know it. The only DC-type supernatural movie I can think of is "Constantine," but that wouldn't work her. George
  13. Sounds like a good guess. I'm pretty sure that Legosi and Chaney didn't have TV shows; I suspectd that Karloff might have, though I don't remember it. George
  14. No. This movie was from the mid-80's. George
  15. I'd guess "1941," but the Johnny Cash reference wouldn't make any sense. George
  16. Part of this must be "Night of the Living Dead" (or, maybe, "Dawn of the Dead"); but vampires in Alaska isn't ringing any bells. George
  17. Well, I saw the movie, but I wasn't paying much attention to the sound track. ;) George
  18. "Casablanca." Of course, that was the correct quote, not the incorrect, "Play it again, Sam." Crying? There's no crying in baseball! George
  19. Pretty Woman Hector Elizondo Private Resort George "Private Resort" was a film early in the career of a BIG star, and also featured a few other reasonably well-known folks. :)
  20. How old is this show (roughly)? George
  21. Ummmm, isn't the title "In the Summertime"? George
  22. The actual title is "The 59th Street Bridge Song," but everyone knows it as "Feeling Groovy." Human is up. George
  23. WW is correct. George (not the King, but possibly mad)
