This is the sort of quote that this thread is about. Never saw the movie, but it's clearly "Taxi Driver" Say hello to my little friend! George

"Supernatural" often involves mystic relics. "Lost Girl" also involves about one new artifact an episode. I haven't watched ANY of the newer vampire/werewolf/monster shows, so I don't know if they fit. I was also thinking of "Special Unit 2" and "The Chronicle," but they were more about the idea of goblins and trolls and urban legends being actually true than being about mystic artifacts. If anyone else has some, pop in. Otherwise,I'll turn it over to WordWolf. George

How many (fiction) shows can you name which prominently feature mystic artifacts or relics? About five come to my mind immediately. Also, I mean more than one artifact. A single, mystic sword doesn't count. Here are a few: Friday the 13th Warehouse 13 Relic Hunter Any more? George

"Gomer Pyle, USMC" Here's a slightly different tack: How many (fiction) shows can you name which prominently feature mystic artifacts or relics? About five come to my mind immediately. Also, I mean more than one artifact. A single, mystic sword doesn't count. George

Yes! Not your typical Christmas movie, but appropriate, I think. George

Does your memory stray to a brighter summer day When I kissed you and called you sweetheart? Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare? Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there? Honey, you lied when you said you loved me And I had no cause to doubt you. But I'd rather go on hearing your lies Than go on living without you. Now the stage is bare and I'm standing there With emptiness all around And if you wont come back to me Then make them bring the curtain down. This was a big hit for a very famous singer. Sam Kinison did a version which was (as you might guess) hysterical. George

Correct George -
I believe you do have it confused, probably with the movie I quoted. And yes, it's more than one line, but I wanted people to have a good shot at getting it. George

"What the hell are you driving here?" "We had a small fire last night, but we caught it in the nick of time." "Do you have any idea how fast you were going?" "Funny enough, I was just talking to my friend about that. Our speedometer has melted and as a result it's very hard to see with any degree of accuracy exactly how fast we were going." George

Just interested: did you look up the current B&tB show, or the one from the 80's? Anyway, A befuddled Dad plans a wedding for his daughter, who is marrying a monster. George -

I presume that the Kevin Spacey part is American Beauty, but I don't get the rest of it, either. Maybe it's American Beauty and the Beast (?) George -
I believe so, but I hardly ever watch SNL anymore, so I can't say for certain. George

Correct. After the dogs eat the Christmas dinner, the family goes to the only restaurant open: a Chinese restaurant! George

I'm violating my own one or two line rule for this one. But it's worth it. :) [singing] Deck the harrs with boughs of horry, fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra." "No, no, not 'ra ra ra ra', 'la la la la'! Try again." "Deck the harrs with boughs of horry, fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra." "No, no! Sing something else." "Jingre bers, jingre bers, jingre arr the way. Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sreigh!" George
