  1. Actually, I found it so-so. But, that's just me. ;) George
  2. Although this movie had a large cast, the movie was "about" nine of them. Eight of the nine actors received tattoos of the word "nine" (in a foreign script). (The remaining actor convinced his stunt double to get the tattoo!) The tallest of the nine actors played the shortest character. George
  3. The last part seems to be a Keanu Reeves vehicle. I'm stumped with the first two. George
  4. THAT's the one. You're up. George
  5. I keep picturing Danny Kaye, though I consider him an accomplished singer and dancer, not just a comedian and storyteller. As you've underlined "I made a fool of myself," I'll try "The Court Jester"? George
  6. Some of the quotes seem familiar, but I can't place them. I suppose it would be easier if I knew who the comic was. "Storytelling" talent is throwing me. George
  7. Close. (In genre, if not cast, etc.) "Dan, we didn't see this thing coming?" "Well, our object collison budget's a million dollars, that allows us to track about 3% of the sky, and beg'n your pardon sir, but it's a big-foot sky." "With the proximity of the asteroid, and no prep time, none of our primary plans can work." "Why don't we just send up a hundred and fifty nuclear warheads and blast that rock apart?" "You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?" "You wanna compare brainpans? I won the Westinghouse prize when I was 12, big deal. Published at 19, so what. I got a double doctorate from MIT at 22, Chemistry and Geology. I taught at Princeton for two and a half years." "I know the presidents' chief scientific advisor, we were at MIT together. And, in a situation like this, you-you really don't wanna take the advice from a man who got a C minus in astrophysics. The presidents' advisors are... wrong. I'm right." "It is stuck, yes?" "Back off! You don't know the components!" "Components. American components, Russian Components, ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!" George
  8. A free-spirited woman kidnaps a man to help her save President Grant from a mad scientist. Starring Melanie Griffith and Will Smith. George
  9. Googling to move along... Lincoln Sally Field Forrest Gump George
  10. Well, if I hadn't seen the film, it wouldn't have been easy. Besides, in this thread, the clues are SUPPOSED to be easy! :) "Feed the birds! Tuppence a bag!" George
  11. That "Get it" "Got it" Good" bit seems really familiar. Was this an Abbott and Costello film? George
  12. Not Air Force One. This might make it easier: "With the proximity of the asteroid, and no prep time, none of our primary plans can work." "Why don't we just send up a hundred and fifty nuclear warheads and blast that rock apart?" "You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?" "Back off! You don't know the components!" "Components. American components, Russian Components, ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!" George
  13. Was this a version of Peter Pan? George
  14. Not Fail Safe. Not a bad guess, though. "You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it?" "You wanna compare brainpans? I won the Westinghouse prize when I was 12, big deal. Published at 19, so what. 15. Rottie, you didn't need to give the other show. As I understand it (I have not seen this), Bryan Cranston from "Breaking Bad," wakes up with Jane Kaczmarek from "Malcolm in the Middle," saying he had a dream about being a drug lord... George
  16. A free-spirited woman kidnaps a man to help her save President Grant from a mad scientist. George
  17. I didn't remember Reagan, but I still have a mind picture of the 20-mule team, which sort of reminds me of Death Valley. One TV series ended with an episode where the star wakes up in bed with his "wife" from a previous series, implying that the whole later series was a dream. I believe that this stunt was also repeated on a recently-ended show, but in a joke trailer, not part of the actual series. Name the older show and the series to which it "returned." If you can do so with the newer show, give the same info. George
  18. I hate when that happens. I don't recognize this song, though. George
  19. I suppose I could find out what movies Rathbone was in when he was 63, but I'll wait for more clues. I'm intrigued. George
  20. I'm tempted just to say "The Avengers," as it seems like a cross between the Marvel movie and the Steed/Peel movie. George
  21. I know that hiway knows this. I wonder if Human or RG has a clue... :) George
  22. I don't think that Excie is disgusted that that's the quote next to her avatar. She put it there. I believe that she is expressing her disgust at the pig who fed her that line, to begin with. George
  23. A particular fictional character says that repeatedly. If you haven't seen any movies about him, you might not recognize it. That's why I left it open to choose from three movies. To make WW happy, I'll use this quote, but that now limits it to ne film: "What is best in life?" "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women." George
