That's not the one I'm thinking of. I don't think Bonnie Franklin's character was a recovering alcoholic, and I don't remember what her job was. The one I have in mind appeared about 20 years after "One Day at a Time." George

A recovering alcoholic divorces her abusive husband and gets a blue-collar job to support her kids. Surprisingly, it's a comedy. George

I still remember Paulsen talking about gun control: "You come home and find your wife in the arms of another man. What are you going to do? Poison him?" I can't remember if I've used this one on this thread before. For some reason, the search function will search the forums as a whole, but not just this thread. Anyway: A number of shows have had actors replaced by others, either in the same role (e.g., Darin Stevens) or as a replacement (Bub/Uncle Charlie). This show had three actors play one role, two actors playing another, and a third character was "replaced" upon the death of an actor. (PS I'm using the term actor without reference to gender.) Sounds like "The Smothers Brothers." I remember Pat Paulsen's mock Presidential campaign; was that on the show? I also remember the phrase "kiss my bass," but I don't remember "tea time." George

I had heard that Kenneth Copeland and/or his wife Gloria had taken PFAL. It seemed reasonable to me, as a lot of Copeland's teachings (especially on Christian prosperity) were very similar to VPW's. Of course, now it seems more likely that both men drew on common sources... :) George
