Since anything times 0 equals 0, 0/0 can equal anything (which is what they mean by "indeterminate." Your example is a limit. It would be accurate to say that the limit of 2x/x, as x approaches zero, is 2, since no matter how close you get to zero (without actually getting there), the answer is 2. In old epsilon-delta terminology, for any epsilon difference from 2, I can give a delta difference from X=0 so that f(X+d) - 2 < e. George

Years ago AT&T was trying to sell me call waiting. The salesman asked, "Do you ever miss important calls, because you're on the phone?" My answer: "I wouldn't know." George

Brad and Mike were in the same film as Hand and Spicoli. The other half of this is about facing someone from one's past with limited help from those nearby. George -
Bea Benederet ("Kate") died during the run of PJ (being replaced by June Lockhart in a different role); but I don't remember her from BH (or GA). George

Mr. Hand has to face the vengeance of a student he failed in history years ago. He gets no help from Brad Hamilton or Mike Davone; but, surprisingly, Jeff Spicoli steps up. George -
"Sam Drucker" was in "Green Acres," "Petticoat Junction," and "The Beverly Hillbillies." I'm blanking on the woman. Maybe WW, Raf, or Human can figure it out. George

The first part sounds like "The Day the Earth Stood Still," but I don't recognize the second part. George -
It was called "Learning the Ropes." It was late 80's, but close enough. If you want to have a go, Hiway, have at it. Or open up a free post. George

It HAS been a while! How ya doin', Ayuh? George

I don't think we've done this one for almost two years, so I'm not really bad. I'm just drawn that way. George

No. This was a syndicated sitcom. Alzado had to be a masked wrestler so no one at his school would know what he was doing. Assuming Hiway is still lurking, he might get it. But I'll give it another day. George

"Total Recall" (the Ahnold version)? George

I'll assume you were responding to WW, not me. George

This one is pretty obscure, but I remember watching it and thought it was pretty good. At least, it had a clever title. Lyle Alzado portrays a high school teacher who moonlights as a masked wrestler. George

I've never seen "Platoon." Is the new one "The Fugitive"? George

A remarkable story of a young man with cerebral palsy, able only to control one of his limbs, who nonetheless shakes up an east Texas town by bringing dancing to it. George -
Kelly Preston should ALWAYS be valid. I stand reproved. And I've never seen "We Own the Night," so I have no idea who's in it. And I feel no less a man for not knowing. George
