  1. Well, Shields and Yarnell didn't speak, and "Mime" is not in the title of their show; but then, neither is any other verb, and the show only went one season, so... Never mind. George
  2. Well, no buildings were being destroyed at that moment, but, yes. George
  3. Not a big fan, though I did like the music. "So, uhh, who's home? "Well, my mom already left for the diner, and dad went to 7-Eleven to get scratchers... I guess he won, 'cause that was six years ago. "Hmm... which happens, dads leave, no need to be a ***** about it, here's what I need... a laptop, a digital watch, a cell phone, the pneumatic actuator from your bazooka over there, a map of town, a big spring, and a tuna fish sandwich." "I build neat stuff, got a great girl, occasionally save the world. So why can't I sleep?" George
  4. "O Brother, Where Art Thou"? George
  5. Stallone. Also well-known for reprising his Rocky role. I can't see him in Eddie Murphy's role in BHC, though... George
  6. Your last few posts have been songs I've heard before, but not enough to recognize them. :) George
  7. In this TV movie, two astronauts exceed the speed of light and travel back to the Stone age. They are rescued when HG Wells picks them up in his time machine while pursuing Jack the Ripper to our era. George
  8. Pulling ideas from Movie Mashup and TV Mashup, I see. Beverly Hills Cop Rock  George
  9. That sounds an awful lot like Harrison Ford (3 Han Solo, 4 Indiana Jones, 2 Jack Ryan), though I can't see him in BHC. If it was a black actor, I can't think of one so sequel-prone. George
  10. I figured that that might give it away. :) George
  11. "The Liberty Bell March" (used for a TV show and at least one film with the same characters) George
  12. Not Twin Peaks. As occasionally happens during a show's run, one of the actors died. At the actor's (pre-mortem!) request, his character was said to have died during sex. NBC executives supported the series in its infancy despite a lack of viewers; in 1981 it became the lowest-rated series ever renewed for a second season. IT also wasn't renewed for the entire season, just for ten episodes. It was only picked up for the full season after ratings improved. First weekly television series to receive $1,000,000 from the network to film a single episode. Regarded as a hallmark in American dramatic television. First dramatic series to incorporate long shots and handheld shots and continuous storylines. Nominated for 21 Emmys for its first season - a record despite having low ratings. George
  13. Beverly Hills Cop 2 Brigitte Nielsen Cobra George
  14. Peggy Sue Got Married Kathleen Turner War of the Roses George
  15. Pretty Woman Richard Gere American Gigolo George
  16. Perhaps I'm not familiar enough with Mormonism. The Mormons I've met are, if not ecumenical, certainly tolerant. For the sign in question to be "ironic," am I to assume that Mormons are known to be intolerantly exclusive? George
  17. Could it simply be a joke? George
  18. I presume that something was mis-typed here. What were you saying? George
