  1. Sorry. This fairly-recent action movie was based on a character from other entertainment media. Clever references to the earlier TV show abounded, although no actual footage from the TV show was used. George
  2. Three "Probes" worked as private investigators for "World Securities." (One per episode) They were equipped with various monitoring devices, to communicate with headquarters. One was a tooth implant. One bite meant "Yes"; two meant "No." George
  3. Interesting guess, but, no. "Is that "Old Dog Trey"? Sounds like "Old Dog Trey." "Pardon?" "Stephen Foster. "Oh, Susannah", "Camptown Races". Stephen stinking Foster." "Ah, yes. Well, this happens to be a nocturne." "A which?" "You know, Frederic f---ing Chopin." "Listen, Mr. Kansas Law Dog. Law don't go around here. Savvy?" "I'm retired." "That's real good." "Yeah, that's good, Mr. Law Dog, 'cause law don't go around here." "I heard you the first time." "In vino veritas." "Age quod agis." "Credat Judaeus apella, non ego." "Eventus stultorum magister." "In pace requiescat." "Come on boys. We don't want any trouble in here. Not in any language." George
  4. There were some Corps I knew who were snobbish. Most, though, seemed genuinely desirous of helping people. I could see real cognitive dissonance in some of them, because they were told from on high to be hard-a-s-s-es, when they really wanted to be tender with people. George
  5. In this TV movie, Federal agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering use mystic artifacts to trap spectres haunting their home. Based on a recent TV show and a decade-old movie. It's a numbers game. George
  6. Robert Klein Nobody's Perfekt Alex Karras George
  7. "Listen, Mr. Kansas Law Dog. Law don't go around here. Savvy?" "I'm retired." "That's real good." "Yeah, that's good, Mr. Law Dog, 'cause law don't go around here." "I heard you the first time." George
  8. "General, would you like to step outside?" George
  9. The pilot for this early 70's show was called "Probe," though that wasn't the name of the series. George
  10. I don't think Simon and Garfunkel had a TV show, so I'm going to guess "The Smothers Brothers" George
  11. I didn't watch the show, but the "Laura Palmer" clue rang a bell. "Eddie, kiss me goodnight!" George
  12. I suspect that that was also a clue, but it's not ringing any bells. George
  13. In this TV movie, Federal agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering use mystic artifacts to trap spectres haunting their home. George
  14. Meet the Fokkers Barbara Streisand The Owl and the Pussycat George
  15. At least I know who the interdimensional traveler is. ("Lost in a world he never made" was the comic-book tagline.) The European country part escapes me. Does that title come first? George
  16. I can't believe I did that. Yes, the answer is "Klute." Jane Fonda is the Oscar-winning actress (with Oscar-winning dad, Henry). Det. Klute was played by Donald Sutherland (father of Kiefer). Human's up. George
  17. "In vino veritas." "Age quod agis." "Credat Judaeus apella, non ego." "Eventus stultorum magister." "In pace requiescat." "Come on boys. We don't want any trouble in here. Not in any language." George
  18. Sounds like "Gran Torino." :) George
