  1. "Born Free Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" You guys are upping the bar. Let me cogitate a while. George
  2. Correct (except that "that" should have been "who"). Most JB films have theme songs with the name in the title; this one didn't. You're up! George
  3. Well, THAT one is "My Fair Lady." :) "Nobody Does It Better" George
  4. Too easy, I guess. "It's a Bundy Life": Kinison shows Al what his family would have been without him. Of course, Peg, Kelly, and Bud are all perfect. Al wants to live, just to keep them from having such a great life without him! George
  5. Vague, no. Obscure, yes. Funny the things one remembers. The starring husband and wife roles of this show were originally offered to Sam Kinison and Roseanne Barr. Kinison appeared in an episode parodying "It's a Wonderful Life." George
  6. If it's not "Gigantor," it should be. 50 years later I still remember the tune: Gigantor, the space-age robot, he's -- at -- your command; Gigantor, the space-age robot, his power is in your hand! George
  7. Dr. Mark Sloan and Jessica Fletcher team up to solve homicides. Stars Dick van Dyke and Angela Lansbury George
  8. The newer version involved characters from the older, including killing off the old Queen. Surprising that it died so quickly, without even having Summer Glau in the cast. :) George
  9. Pierce Brosnan The Thomas Crown Affair Rene Russo George
  10. I can hear the song in my head; I'm just not sure of the movie. "My Fair Lady"? George
  11. "Bridge Over the River Kwai" "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow" George
  12. Against All Odds Jeff Bridges Iron Man George
  13. A detective show, there were a lot of allusions to Sherlock Holmes. The main character's first assistant was a doctor. The local law enforcement officers, LEland STottlemeyer and RAndy DEacon* represent Lestrade. And the character's brother also appears in a number of episodes. *changed to Randy Disher, later This show was originally to be on ABC, with Michael Richards as the star. When that fell through, USA Network picked up the show (with a different star). As it became quite successful, ABC aired 2nd-run episodes, but only for one season. It was the first USA Network show actually filmed in the USA. George
  14. No, but not a bad guess. Most of the characters in this movie are Norsemen. "We shall pray for your safe return!" "Pray to whom?" "In your land one God may be enough, but here we have need of many. I will pray to all of them for you. Do not be offended!" "I'll be in your debt!" "Goodbye, Arab!" "Goodbye, Northman." "How can you sleep at a time like this?" "The All-Father wove the skein of your life a long time ago. Go and hide in a hole if you wish, but you won't live one instant longer. Your fate is fixed. Fear profits a man nothing." "Blow-hards the both of you. She probably was some smoke-colored camp girl. Looked like that one's mother." "My mother was a pure woman from a noble family. And I, at least, know who my father is, you pig-eating son of a whore!" "Merciful Father, I have squandered my days with plans of many things. This was not among them. But at this moment, I beg only to live the next few minutes well. For all we ought to have thought, and have not thought; all we ought to have said, and have not said; all we ought to have done, and have not done; I pray thee, God, for forgiveness." "Where did you learn our language?" "I listened!" George
  15. It seems slightly familiar, but that may be that just some of the lyrics are like those of other songs. George
