  1. New song: And they got a good thing goin' When the words don't get in the way. And when they're really wailing, Michelle and Cass are sailin'. Hey! they really nail me to the wall. George
  2. Hint: this movie had an all-star cast (for this particular genre of film) "I'm gonna do you a favor, Tool. 'I once knew a man called Tool/To me, was the epitome of cool/He was good with a knife/Bad with a wife/But to think he could beat me/Dreaming he'd defeat me/Cool Tool/You gotta be a fool.'" "And being wealthy is very good. It allows people to be the real a$$wipes nature intended them to be." "You know, the enemy's always been terrified of noise, especially shotguns. With this big boy spitting out 250 rounds a minute, you tell me who's tolerating that. Absolutely zero." "I got a feeling everyone else passed on this job, so our fee is $5 mil." "$5 mil?" "And I want half upfront, and the other half in an offshore account. You got a problem with that?" "No. What I have a problem with is people who try to f--- me over. So if you take this money and you don't deliver, or you try to f--- me in some kind of weird cockamamie scheme of yours, me and my people are gonna come get you and your people and chop you up into little f---ing dog treats. You got a problem with that?" "Let's talk." "We are the shadows and the smoke, we rise. We are the ghosts that hide in the night." George
  3. Before the decision was made to dub most of her vocals, Rosalind Russell attempted to do her own singing. The highly unsatisfactory results can be heard as an extra feature on the soundtrack CD. After Ethel Merman's death, a tape of the Russell recordings was found in a box in Merman's closet. Merman, who was infuriated that she had not been cast in the film, evidently had retained this copy of the Russell vocals as a strange and somewhat vengeful consolation prize. Ann-Margret was the first choice for the title role. The star of this film gets career advice, including "If you wanna make it, twinkle while you shake it" and "If you wanna bump it, bump it with a trumpet." George
  4. Starring Anna Paquin, Bette Davis, and Joan Crawford. George
  5. Morgan Freeman The Dark Knight Michael Caine George

  8. Heather Graham Lost in Space Gary Oldman George
  9. I'm having trouble juxtaposing colorful costumes and car chases. George
  10. Can I, from that, infer that you listened to the two songs? The Beach Boys swear it wasn't intentional, but the similarities, not only in the tune but in the words, seem too great to be coincidental. George
  11. Broadcast News Holly Hunter The Piano George
  12. Spaceballs Rick Moranis Ghostbusters George
  13. "Sweet Little Sixteen" by Chuck Berry. Listen to it, then listen to "Surfin' USA." What's amazing is that it took Berry 20 years to win his lawsuit. FREE POST George

  15. Correct. Most people know the song as "Theme from 2001" George
  16. Depending on your choice of language, "Also Sprach Zarathustra" "Ainsi Parlait Zarathoustra" "Thus Spake Zarathustra" George
  17. I remember watching "Stingray" and "Fireball XL-5." (Incidentally, did you know that Castrol got its name from the fact that castor oil was an early motor lubricant?) The star of this show played a similar role in an early Tom Cruise film. The opening theme is performed by the Iowa State Cyclone Marching Band, who won the right to do so by winning a national contest. George
  18. I don't think it was in that movie. That's not the one I have in mind, anyway. George
  19. The star of this film gets career advice, including "If you wanna make it, twinkle while you shake it" and "If you wanna bump it, bump it with a trumpet." George
  20. In this movie, two orphan girls are cast out by their aunt and sent to a harsh charity school for girls. One becomes a child star, the other a well-received actress, later in life. The bitter former child star torments her sibling mercilessly. FYI the constituent movies are in reverse order. George
