Game: Before & After (Movies and TV)
GeorgeStGeorge replied to Raf's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
I never considered "The Man from UNCLE" a comedy, though like "I/Spy," it did have its humorous elements. The answer I was looking for was, in fact, "Chico and the Man from UNCLE." George -
Not getting it from the titles OR the lyrics. Sorry. George

Though both component shows contained humorous elements, I would only consider one of them an actual comedy. George -

"I got a feeling everyone else passed on this job, so our fee is $5 mil." "$5 mil?" "And I want half upfront, and the other half in an offshore account. You got a problem with that?" "No. What I have a problem with is people who try to f--- me over. So if you take this money and you don't deliver, or you try to f--- me in some kind of weird cockamamie scheme of yours, me and my people are gonna come get you and your people and chop you up into little f---ing dog treats. You got a problem with that?" "Let's talk." "We are the shadows and the smoke, we rise. We are the ghosts that hide in the night." George

I'm tempted to say "Traxx," since that's pretty much the whole plot; but I don't think there was any theme music for that classic film. :) George

I know the second half. (Big splash -- cute!) George -
Correct. Interestingly, the writers of "Sanford and Son" figured that they could adapt a lot of plots from "Steptoe and Son," since the latter was already in its fourth season. Imagine their dismay when they found out that "Steptoe and Son" only aired four episodes per season! George

No. This show knocked "The Brady Bunch" off the air. The star was known for faking heart attacks, so when he really had one, no one believed him until it was too late. The star of this show was always seen wearing a sport coat, jacket, or long-sleeved shirt, because he had a prominent tattoo of a naked woman on his right forearm. The title of the opening theme song is "The Streetbeater." George

Yes. Carrie Fisher was in the skit after the closing credits. George

I'm sure that the last movie and the TV show are "Game of Thrones." I just can't think of the first movie. George -

Sadly, either I never listened to the words much, or they just weren't clear. I recognized the "I can hear the bullfrog calling me" line, but nothing else. I expect to do at least one of these when the answer is revealed. George
