  4. A person's recollection of TWI is colored by the period in which he took part. You were in "before my time" (1978-1997. You were out long before things turned noticeably sour, though, I suppose, if you were sharp, you would have seen a dichotomy between TWI doctrine and practice, even then. George
  5. A triple (semi-stealth) Four American soldiers in Iraq are caught in an ambush just two weeks before coming home. Much has changed when they do return home. One thinks he's a Scottish warrior fighting against England. Another finds that his wife is now a professional race car driver. George
  6. :lol:/>/> Must be "Li'l Abner." I still remember Julie Newmar as "Stupefyin' Jones" in the color version. George
  7. Colin Baker was the sixth Doctor. Jon Pertwee, the third Doctor, is Sean Pertwee's dad. George

  11. All right, THIS should do it: "Napoleon Solo, the CIA's most effective agent." "Illya Kurakin: KGB, the youngest member to join and pass in three years." "For a special agent, you're not having a very special day, are you?" "Are they still following us?... Is there one of them?... Is he looking at us?... Does he have just one hand on the steering wheel?... When you hear something that sounds like a gunshot, drive." "I was briefed on your criminal career. Your balls are on the end of a very long leash, held by a very short man." "I wonder if it was your father's shame that gave you such drive... Or was it your mother's reputation? I understand that she was extremely popular amongst your father's friends..." "We may be engaged, but I'm my own woman! Besides, I don't have a ring! It was stolen, remember?" "A good Russian husband would go out early and got his fiancée a new ring, as soon as he could." "He's trying. To stop. The car." "We're struggling here. Why don't you take a shot at him?" "Somehow, it just doesn't seem like the right thing to do." "Don't make me put you over my knee..." "So you don't want to dance... but you do want to wrestle." "Not very good at this whole subtlety thing, are you?" "Did you disable the alarm?" "There's no alarm on the 307." [alarm immediately begins wailing] "Loving your work, Cowboy." George
  12. Actually, it sounds a lot like what happened to Green Lantern (Hal Jordan): He was an interstellar cop. He was killed (as Parallax, by Green Arrow), but came back, appearing to Ollie Queen and others. After saving the world from the Sun-Eater (and dying again), he came back as the Spectre. (Now, he's back to being Green Lantern.) George
  13. Name the role played by these actors: Christopher Eccleston Colin Baker William Hartnell George
  14. "Obadiah Stane" finally clicked. That was Jeff Bridges's role in "Iron Man." The other name that haunted me was "Lightfoot," because I remembered an old TV show "[somebody] and Lightfoot." I assume he was in that, too. George
  15. Some of them seem familiar, but, sadly, not familiar enough. :( George
  16. Caddyshack Chevy Chase Seems Like Old Times George
  17. I'm not sure how to score this. It was "Young Frankenstein," but you said it wasn't. I'll give it to you, to keep things moving. :) George
  18. No. This one isn't "recursive." As for the second half, think prequel to the show you mention. George
  19. I remember Shari Lewis had a show with Lambchop, and maybe a dog puppet. Something like "Shari Lewis and Friends." Could that be it? George
