  1. Assuming NO ONE WOULD GET IT FOR A WHILE, I was going to mention that this actor has his own category on jumptheshark.com*. I didn't pick PARTICULARLY obscure roles, but I didn't think anyone would get it without Jefferson D'Arcy. Oh, well. Raf's up. George *If any of you watched the cartoon series "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," the last episode made fun of jumptheshark.com, basically by going through every way, mentioned on the site, that a show "jumps the shark." ("Special" episode, child born, etc.) McGinley voiced Aquaman through the second half, pulling a "jump" double: new actor -- same character; and, of course, Ted McGinley. (Henry Winkler appears as Ambush Bug.) At the end, while they're "closing down the set," McGinley/Aquaman points out that he's been on SEVERAL successful shows, thank you very much! I don't know how Netflix or Hulu (etc.) works, but watch that episode, if you can.
  2. Name the actor Roger Phillips Ashley Covington Evans Clay Fallmont George
  3. I'm guessing that "Hey, you guys!" is also a clue, but I don't recognize it, any more than the other stuff. So, I'll just toss out Latina actresses until I inadvertently stumble upon the right one, or Raf gets bored and puts an end to this. Rita Moreno? George
  4. I don't know if Julie Andrews ever won a Grammy. I know she's won an Oscar and an Emmy, and probably a Tony. But none of those roles were played by her, as far as I know. A large fraction of the names are Hispanic, so it might be a Latina actress, but I don't think I'll get it without googling (unless there are giveaway roles which you haven't posted yet). George
  5. Sorry. ACE award and Raf's little poem notwithstanding,I'm not getting it. George
  6. I expect that there will be a at the end of this, but none of those roles ring a bell, except Carmen Sandiego, and I don't know who played her... George
  7. "Kill anybody today, Curly?" "Day ain't over, yet." George
  8. These two short-lived TV shows featured movie stars in perhaps their only starring TV (series) roles. Both involved intrigues in Washington, DC. Name either one. George C. Scott stars as President Samuel Tresch, whose wife mysteriously leaves him. From the late 1980's. Sharon Stone as Vice President Natalie Maccabee, guardian of a special copy of the Constitution. Ran last year. George
  9. [TITLE], lay across my big, brass bed. George
  10. Bull Durham Kevin Costner Man of Steel George
  11. "Your brothers were killed in combat." "Which - Which ones?" "All of them." Geroge
  12. This movie had three sequels (arguably, not as bad as "The Exorcist II"). It was the final film of actors Van Heflin, Virginia Grey, Thomas Browne Henry, and Jessie Royce Landis, as well as composer Alfred Newman. The movie was double-billed in some markets with "The Andromeda Strain," with the tag line "Together On One Great Family Program". The film featured five Academy Award winners (not for this film). The two main stars each received 10% of the gross, or about $7,000,000 (a lot of money at the time). One of them, however, called this film "the worst piece of junk ever made." Geroge
  13. As it happens, I haven't seen either version. I suppose that a lot of references to chocolate might have given it away. Good to see that at least two of us have watched these pretty-well-known films! :) George
  14. Alan Rickman Dogma Linda Fiorentino Geroge
  15. Not the quote I'D use for this flick, but easy enough: "Stripes" George
  16. No idea. Even some of the vaguely familiar lines have been swamped by the completely unfamiliar ones. :) George
