  2. Interesting guess, and I can see how you might have thought that, but, no. This is a more recent film, and I'm pretty sure that you've seen it. George
  3. I looked it up. (Seems fair, after a week.) I have seen the movie, though I confess that I didn't recognize the line. "Gran Torino" "About the whole no guns thing... I'm not sure I feel as strongly about it as you do." (Memorable for me, hopefully for you, too.) George
  4. It's WW's mission, should he decide to accept it... :) George
  5. Name the actor: Jack Crabb David Sumner Chuck Clarke Ted Kramer Michael Dorsey Dutch Schultz George
  6. Hector Elizondo Private Resort Leslie Easterbrook George
  7. I immediately recognized the "one leg named Smith" joke. (It's actually used twice in the movie.) I don't recognize the other joke, but I suspect it, also, was part of Uncle Albert's tea party. "All that hate's gonna burn you up, kid." "It keeps me warm." "You think you're tough for eating beans every day? There's half a million scarecrows in Denver who'd give anything for one mouthful of what you got. They've been under siege for about three months. They live on rats and sawdust bread and sometimes... on each other. At night, the pyres for the dead light up the sky. It's medieval." George
  8. Hah! And I was going to go with "Somewhere in Time." Anyway, Liam Neeson Leap of Faith Debra Winger George
  9. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Jon Voight Deliverance George
  10. It's that Poppins woman! George
  11. The Godfather James Caan Honeymoon in Vegas George
  12. (You were correct about Paul Lynde) The Singing Nun Ricardo Montalban Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan George
  13. Right. Of course, having performed a medley of these songs in band, just recently, I would have gotten any of them. Otherwise, I might have gotten it from "Younger than Springtime" or "Happy Talk." The last three are the most memorable, of course. George
  14. Younger than Springtime Happy Talk A Cockeyed Optimist Dites-moi Honey Bun Bloody Mary There Is Nothing like a Dame Bali H'ai Some Enchanted Evening George
  15. Apparently a cartoon (or CGI); but I don't recognize it. George
  16. This recent cable-TV show was based on a Stephen King story. Many of the episodes have subtle references (Easter eggs?) to other King works. Actors Laura Vandervoort, Steve Lund, and Kiara Glasco, all of whom guest-starred in season 3 of this show (as Arla Cogan, James Cogan, and Ginger Danvers, respectively), went on to star in another Syfy-syndicated Canadian series called Bitten. WWE star "Edge," (Adam Copeland) played a major role in the last couple of seasons. George
  17. Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine Frankie Avalon Beach Blanket Bingo George
  18. Name the actor: Jack Crabb David Sumner Chuck Clarke George
  19. Cathy Lee Crosby was the main one. I remember her in a pilot for a Wonder Woman show preceding Lynda Carter's. I think Rosario Dawson played a Wonder-Womanish character on Smallville, and Susan Eisenberg voiced a number of the cartoons. You obviously held back Lynda Carter and Gal Gadot. I don't know where the others showed up, but most were athletic actresses with brunette hair. George
  20. Actually, I had no idea. If you mentioned it here, before, I've long forgotten it. :) George
  21. From its title one can only assume that the producers expected one or more sequels to this movie. None ever appeared. The characters, and the fictitious martial art of "sinanju," were taken from the "Destroyer" series of books. George
