Interesting choice, but, no. More recent. Your logic is otherwise correct, however. George -
I suspect that we've all stretched the rules, once or twice. I didn't think of this movie as a "coming of age" story, although most of the characters are young adults. Apparently, the producer and director saw it that way, however, and required the cast to watch a John Hughes marathon, in preparation for their roles. The main villain of the film has played villainous roles before (to some acclaim); but he is probably better remembered for portraying an iconic hero. George

Sandra Bullock is the actress. The first movie is "Miss Congeniality." The last movie is "Demolition Man." I can name a number of other movies she's been in, but I can't match them to the dialogue. George

I admit, keeping up can be daunting. In addition to CW's five super-hero shows, Gotham, and Agents of SHIELD, I watch, weekly, NCIS (three versions), Bull, Designated Survivor, MacGiver, Timeless, Supernatural, Riverdale, Big Bang Theory, and Young Sheldon (and the shortly forthcoming Krypton). Add in cable series when they run (Suits, Strike Back, Outlander, Counterpart, the Alienist, and Ash vs. Evil Dead); and its amazing I get ANYTHING else done. I HAVE decided not to watch the current season of Legion, as the first season made no sense to me. George

It was, indeed. I'm guessing that the "quit you" quote was the giveaway. George

Could this be the original "Ocean's Eleven"? George -
A little too wild. "Tell you what... the truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it." "Bottom line is... we're around each other an'... this thing, it grabs hold of us again... at the wrong place... at the wrong time... and we're dead." "I tell ya there... there were these two old guys ranched up together, down home. Earl and Rich. And they was the joke of town, even though they were pretty tough ol' birds. Anyway they... they found Earl dead in an irrigation ditch. Took a tire iron to 'im. Spurred him up, drug him 'round by his dick 'till it pulled off." "You seen this?" "I wasn't... nine years old. My daddy, he made sure me and brother seen it. Hell for all I know, he done the job." "Friend, that's more words than you've spoke in the past two weeks." "Hell, that's the most I've spoke in a year." "Anything interesting up there in heaven?" "I was just sending up a prayer of thanks." "For what?" "For you forgettin' to bring that harmonica. I'm enjoyin' the peace and quiet." "You know, your friend could come inside, have a cup of coffee..." "He's from Texas." "Texans don't drink coffee?" "I wish I knew how to quit you." "We can get together... once in a while, way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, but..." "Once in a while? Every four f---in' years?" "If you can't fix it, Jack, you gotta stand it." "For how long?" "For as long as we can ride it. There ain't no reins on this one." George

That one seems quite familiar, though I can't place a tune with the lyrics. George

DC tips its hat to Marvel in this week's Flash: Cisco to Kaitlin, explaining why Harry SHOULDN'T make a brain-enhancing cap: "Hello! Becomes super-evil genius! Haven't you seen "Spider-Man 2?" (In a similar line, a recent Action Comics has Booster Gold joking calls his droid Skeets "Alfred." When Skeets objects, Booster says, "Would you prefer "Jarvis"? Never mind. That's a whole different timeline!") George

Louie Anderson and Christian Slater are there to throw you off. It seems it worked. Louie played the character in an episode of "Drunk History," and Christian played a young version. One of the other actors received an Oscar for the role. George -

One cute line from this past week's "Gotham": Jim Gordon: "The toy maker, Krank, targeted Lee with an antique model plane with a bomb strapped to it!" Ed Nigma: "That is SOOOO Gotham!" George

Some major stars were in it. George

I thought it was Gary Curtis who did the original, but then was replaced after he left TWI. George

This one sure dropped off the map! WW, care to give a couple more actors (assuming YOU remember what movie this is!)? George
