Diane Lane? George -
We try not to circle back to the same actor (or film) for at least a few rounds. Otherwise, you could pick two actors who work together a lot, and just bounce back between them. I see that WW has replied while I'm typing this, so maybe he's gone ahead, or told you (Human) to do so. George

Just not getting it. Sorry. George

It sounds like one of those huge-cast-comedies like "It's a Mad......World" or "Cannonball Run," but it's neither of those. Am I on the right track? George

Okay. "Runaway Trainspotting" (probably too obscure) FREE POST George -
Assuming Elizabeth Banks was in the 40 Year Old Virgin, then you don't need another movie of hers, but you need to replace Seth Rogen (Steve Carrell, perhaps) and continue from there. George

Not enough...yet. (But, of course, you wouldn't start with the EASY ones!) George -
I can kind of deduce a plot from this, but it's not a movie I recognize. George

Looking for cd with certain old songs
GeorgeStGeorge replied to Kiley's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
Kiley, Although this might seem the appropriate forum for this question, there are so few of us using this, that it may not be your best bet. You might try posting again in the Open forum. If you have any more info (genre, approximate release year), it would help to include that, as well. George PS I personally do not recognize the song. -

Still a free post... George -
This is one of those where, not knowing the answer, I don't reply; and WW, seeing no movement on the thread, waits for something to happen. He should be back, soon, so maybe we can finish this one. George

OK, I'LL go again. Ron Shelton was a former minor league baseball player and used his experience as the basis for the story. Kurt Russell, who helped Ron Shelton develop the script, also played minor league baseball in the early-1970s. He was originally considered for the lead role. In their confrontation outside the bar, one player tells the other, "I hear you couldn't hit water if you fell out of a f---ing boat." Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda had said this in 1984, in reference to weak-hitting San Diego Padres infielder Kurt Bevacqua. George

I'm going to toss in the second thing. None of the series made it past two seasons. Summer is sort of the Flying Dutchman of TV series. If she gets a main role, it's a portent of doom. I was gratified that she was only on Arrow for a few episodes, apparently not enough to work her "charm." Are Summer's appearances and quick cancellations cause-and-effect, or just coincidence? You decide. As Raf said, FREE POST George

They're all sci-fi/fantasy type shows (but I excluded genre as one of the choices). Most were on broadcast networks (three, I think, were on FOX), but Alphas was a cable series. Sadly, WW will be out of pocket for about a week. Unless Raf chimes in, we may have to wait a while. I don't want to give up on this, just yet. A hint: some people consider the two things correlated, though they may simply be coincidental. George

It appears that this Imra Ardeen is a telekinetic, not a telepath. I like the Brainiac 5 version. I have to say, though, that before the battle, I could just see Westley (from "The Princess Bride") saying, "A Coluan? Why didn't you list that among our assets?" Black Lightning looks interesting. Newsfeeds seem to peg his ex-wife, Lynn, as John Stewart's sister, although DC's database only lists one sister, Rose (deceased). There have been plenty of Hal Jordan "Easter eggs" in Arrow. I wonder if a GL Corps show could be in the offing? Sorry if this "spoiled" anything. I'm glad the new episodes are back on! George
