It was, indeed, "The Great Race." I remember seeing it at a drive-in when I was young. The cartoon "Wacky Racers" was derived from this movie. George

I forgot the Elon Musk appeared in a "flash-forward" on YS, stealing one of Sheldon's early ideas. And, yes, the "you-are-not-alone" ending at the end of last season was cute. (Howard's mom screaming at him from off-stage was a nice touch.) Let me cogitate for a while. George

Just saw this on Yahoo: A Green Lantern TV show is coming to HBO Max, a new streaming service from Warner Bros that will take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon. Strange Adventures, an anthology series exploring the antics of other DC superheroes, is also in development. Variety reports that, though neither project has been commissioned to series, they have been given the greenlight to start producing. As seen with the recently cancelled Game of Thrones prequel, it’s not a given that either show will make it to air – but Warners likely sees both shows as strong exclusives to temp people away from some of the other best streaming services currently available. Speaking about the upcoming projects, Greg Berlanti – who will act as a producer and has helped guide the success of several of The CW’s big shows, including Arrow and Riverdale – outlined: “Both of these original DC properties we’ll be creating for HBO Max will be unlike anything seen on television… in what promises to be our biggest DC show ever made, we will be going to space with a Green Lantern television series, but I can’t reveal any more about that just yet.” Strange Adventures, meanwhile, will include characters from across the pages of DC’s comics in an anthology series spanning a series of one-hour episodes. Warner Bros. also revealed at an event last night that HBO Max will launch in the US on May 2020 and will cost subscribers $14.99/month for a package that features shows from HBO, Adult Swim, CW, and more. Why do these things always have to be on a streaming service? It's not as if HBO doesn't have enough channels to run a new series or two. George

Not a bad guess, since Curtis and Lemmon were in it, but no. Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, Vivian Vance, Ross Martin, Larry Storch, Denver Pyle, Peter Falk, Keenan Wynn, Arthur O'Connell. A moose head hangs on the wall of Professor Fate's (Lemmon) dining room, but when the Professor and Max run out the front door you can see that the rest of the moose stands in the foyer, with just his head poking through a hole in the wall. Ernie Kovacs originally did this gag on one of his TV shows. Lemmon was a great friend of Kovacs and used this gag in the film. The pie fight scene lasts four minutes and was shot in five days. It is the longest pie fight sequence in movie history. At first, the cast had fun filming the pie fight scene, but eventually the process grew wearisome and dangerous. Natalie Wood choked briefly on a pie which hit her open mouth. Jack Lemmon got knocked out a few times: "a pie hitting you in the face feels like a ton of cement". At the end of shooting the fight, when the director called "Cut!" he was barraged with several hundred pies that members of the cast had hidden, waiting for the moment. George

Changes for Jimmy Olsen. Will he still be a regular, or just make guest appearances? He had a great line at the end of this SG episode. George

Ratings are poor. LGBTQWERT activists are in an uproar, because, it appears, all TV watchers are homophobic, transphobic, deplorables. Or maybe people don't want yet another social justice show shoved down their throats. George

I liked the characters from the movie. The first episode of the series didn't thrill me. George

Did anyone else watch the first episode of Watchmen? I haven't read the original series. I saw the movie, but I don't know how well it kept with the series. I barely recognize any of the characters in the new show. I think it's basically supposed to be about new "Watchmen." George

I'm pretty sure I know this show, but I don't want to give away my Actor/Role quiz. George

Definitely not Frankenstein's monster, though this character might be described as a monster. George -
Considering how poorly Batwoman is doing, maybe Kate Kane will be the one to go... George
