CW has announced that the coming season will be the last for Supergirl. Superman and Lois Lane will be up and running, so we may see Supergirl in frequent guest roles. As for me, the biggest loss would be Martian Manhunter. Since Crisis put Supergirl, et al, in the same universe as the other heroes, hopefully J'onn J'onzz will appear elsewhere. Swamp Thing has also moved to CW, probably rerunning the DCOnline episodes. (In a similar line, CBS will run Discovery on Thursday nights, at least until new shows are available.) George

My town got about 15 inches of rain over the last three days. Some lower lying areas got some flooding, but Beta was not a bad storm. George

A non-static picture of Beta. It has already weakened quite a bit, though it will still give the Texas coast a decent amount of rain. George

Mister Roarke is correct.. In the first TV show, Roarke always wore a white suit. In the first episode of the second show, Roarke jettisons all his white suits and goes for black. In the movie -- white. George -

Correct Hadn't gotten that far yet, but makes sense. It would have cost a lot to blue-screen it back then. George -

"This is Bobbi. You won't see me anymore, so I thought I'd have a little session with your machine. Oh Doctor, I'm so unhappy. I'm a woman trapped inside a man's body - and you're not helping me to get out! So I got a new shrink, Levy's his name, he's gonna sign the papers so I can get my operation. Oh... I borrowed your razor... and - well, you'll read all about it. Some blonde bitch saw me, but I'll get her." "Maybe there's something wrong with me." "There's nothing wrong with you." "Do you find me attractive?" "Of course." "Would you want to sleep with me?" "Yes." "Then why don't you?" "Because I love my wife, and sleeping with you isn't worth jeopardizing my marriage. Is it worth it to you?" "I don't know." "How are things going with you and Mike?" "Fine." "Good." "No, they're not fine. What a stupid word that is. He gave me one of his wham-bang specials today and I'm mad at him. Isn't that right? Shouldn't I be mad at him?" "Yeah. Did you tell him?" "Of course not. I moaned with pleasure at his touch - isn't that what every man wants?" "I don't know. Is it?" "Don't start that stuff with me." "Don't make me be a bad girl again!" George

This not-so-well-known show starred a well-known actor famous for movies and a variety show. Although he has also voiced cartoon characters and had repeat roles in a couple of series, this was his only starring TV role. The title of the show is a play on words, also alluding to a song he and a co-star performed in a very well-known movie (The Blues Brothers). The two have also performed the song live, on occasion, and at least once on the variety show. George

Game: Before & After (Movies and TV)

Flipping all the cards. The Ruling Class Action In The Ruling Class, Peter O'Toole plays a British lord who thinks he's Jesus. Absolutely hysterical. Realized he was God when he determined that every time he prayed, he was talking to himself. Was married "in the year of Me, 1968." Takes a rather dark turn at the end, however. Still, definitely worth watching. In Class Action, father Gene Hackman battles daughter MEM in an injury suit. He subtly gives her the information needed to win. Not as good as The Ruling Class, but I needed something beginning with Class. I suppose I could have made it a triple by throwing in the Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Jacqueline Bissett "Class," but I still don't think anyone would have gotten it. FREE POST George -

I'm just going to jump in. As far as I know, these are the only three actors to play this role: Malcolm McDowell Michael Pena Ricardo Montalban George -
I thought I posted this already, but here's the latest. Apparently, Alpha already appeared (and disappeared!), so TD 22 is now Beta. The last time we hit the Greek alphabet, we got to Epsilon, but that was really late in the year (maybe even the following January...). Beta is still wobbling around, but it's expected to hit the Texas coast somewhere (unless a cold front drags it to Louisiana). George

There's that, but there's also Mormon lore telling that Indians were descendants or Israelites who came to America, I think during the Babylonian occupation. (It's been a LONG time since I read the Book of Mormon.) George -
The blob in the southern Gulf will probably develop. Right now, they have no idea which way it will go. It may just drift into Mexico, or head north. There's a cold front coming through Texas which could pick it up and drag it east. To Louisiana. George
