  1. About the only other movie I know he was in was Ferris Bueller's Day Off Jennifer Grey Dirty Dancing George
  2. I do not remember Tim Robbins's character in Top Gun. Apparently (from IMDb), he played "Merlin." Lord of the Rings (any) Ian McKellen X-Men Last Stand George
  3. I and the dozen other viewers would tend to agree. The season premiere had a DISMAL viewing, though part of that may be due to competition from football playoffs. George
  4. Good enough. Springsteen wrote and performed it. I don't think Turner performed it; you might be thinking of Natalie Cole's version. You're up. George
  5. It is. Played by Jeffrey Hunter in "The Cage" (the first Star Trek pilot). When "The Cage" was reconfigured into a two-parter, "The Menagerie," Hunter had died, so the crippled Pike was played by Sean Kenney. Bruce Greenwood played him in the reboot ST movies; and Anson Mount played (plays? I haven't seen all the current season) him in ST Discovery, temporarily transferring from the Enterprise to the Discovery. George
  6. To get this one, you may have to think thoughts so dark, so primitive, so evil, that even a Talosian can't read your mind. George
  7. So, Batwoman is back. So, a homeless woman (who just happens to be an ex-martial arts instructor) finds the Batsuit in the wreckage of a plane and puts it on to avenge the people who killed her mom. Is Kate Kane dead? Likely, but also likely we'll never know. The supporting cast stays, even Alice (whose followers, it turns out, were the killers of new girl's mom). And pretty much anybody who didn't already know Kate was Batwoman, does now. It's hard to see where this is heading, but they worked so hard to retrofit everything that I figure I owe them a few looks. In other news, Superman and Lois Lane debuts next month, and "Painkiller" from Black Lightning spins off his own show, George
  8. "My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet." "You know, a lot's changed since 1967." "No doubt, love, but as long as people are still having promiscuous sex with many anonymous partners without protection while at the same time experimenting with mind-expanding drugs in a consequence-free environment, I'll be sound as a pound!" George
  9. "Once upon a Time in Mexico"? George
  10. Since it's not a Western and not a fairy tale... "Once Upon a Time in the West"? George
  11. Since Human hasn't posted another... You may think I'm fooling For the foolish things I do You may wonder how come I love you When you get on my nerves like you do Well baby, you know you bug me There ain't no secret about that George
  12. Human is close. I'm disqualified for looking it up. It's not a movie I've seen or even remember. George
  13. Maybe Human didn't see the picture you posted, T-Bone. George
  14. At First Sight Mira Sorvino The Replacement Killers George
  15. It is, indeed, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." It wasn't until almost the very end, when Mr. Hand goes to Jeff Spicoli's home to reclaim "his time" before letting him go off to prom, that I recognized the scene from the Playboy short story. The movie, of course, had many scenes not in the story. I refused to pay several dollars JUST to look at photos of naked women, so I almost always read the articles. T-Bone's turn. George
  16. Sometimes I use Snipping Tool to copy the picture. That stops the steal. I was just lazy, this time. George
  17. This will exhaust the actors portraying this role: Sean Kenney Anson Mount Bruce Greenwood Jeffrey Hunter George
  18. Here's another film that I first saw as a short story in Playboy. (It's pretty easy.)
  19. I wish you had given a little longer after giving your last clue. I read "Duel" in Playboy and remember when the movie came out. (For some reason, I think of it as a made-for-TV film, but maybe that's because I saw it on TV and not in a theater.) George
  20. A Time to Kill Donald Sutherland M*A*S*H George
  21. Sky High Kelly Preston The Experts George
  22. WW, I'm SHOCKED that you would use Bernie Casey from ROTN, after I used him to get TO ROTN! Try again. George
  23. I do remember Card Sharks (the one I kept thinking was Joker's Wild). That and The Price is Right are the only ones I've heard of. I don't purchase Marvel comics (with a couple of exceptions over the years), so, no, the Avengers reference was lost on me. It was primarily because of Drew Carey. I remember a MAD Magazine issue, MANY years ago, about TPIR, where a contestant knew the price of everything TO THE PENNY. It annoyed everyone so much that the grand prize was a rocket ship (whose price he knew, exactly). When he won, they got rid of him by shooting him into space. New one soon. George
