  1. The main cast of this show (excluding the star) included Arsenio Hall Kelly Hu Tammy Lauren Louis Mandylor Tom Wright Gretchen Egolf (The first two would have given it away for me, but then I watched this (relatively) short-lived series regularly.) The star of the show wasn't particularly proficient in English, so he had fewer lines than most of the co-stars. The show had a cross-over with Walker, Texas Ranger. George
  2. This from Yahoo!: Kicking off Season 8 of The CW’s The Flash on Nov. 16 at 8/7c, the team-up event — airing across five consecutive Tuesdays — finds Grant Gustin’s Barry recruiting a cavalcade of superfriends, including Brandon Routh’s The Atom (see photo), Cress Williams’ Black Lightning, Katherine McNamara’s Mia Smoak (from Arrow), Javicia Leslie’s Batwoman, Chyler Leigh’s Sentinel (from Supergirl) and Osric Chau’s Ryan Choi (from the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event). Said assembly of heroes will face an extraterrestrial threat led by Defiance alum Tony Curran’s Despero, while Arrowverse vets Tom Cavanagh and Neal McDonough will reprise their respective villainous roles of Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash and Damien Darhk. Interesting that there are no Superman, Supergirl, Martian Manhunter, Frost, or any Legend except Ray Palmer. Seems like the weakest crossover team yet. Note that it's all on Flash episodes, though Batwoman may be the only other show running at that time. George
  3. It was, indeed, Joan Cusack. She had pretty significant roles in "School of Rock, " "My Blue Heaven," and "Working Girl." George

  5. I think of it as a Bobby Darin tune, but you are correct. George

  8. This was a novelty parody of an old tune: A'took the foot bridge, way 'cross the water Though she weighed two-ninety nine The old bridge trembled and disassembled (Oops!) dumped her into the foamy brine George
  9. "You gon' dig him 'til the day you die" THAT lyric I remember. "Clap for the Wolf Man" by the Guess Who George
  10. I know I've heard this one. Not recently. Not often. George
  11. Yellow Submarine "Just take those old records off the shelf." George

  13. Neither Nora was really evil, just doing what they thought best (but not what Barry thought best). George
  14. Nope, only one of them. Let's add a couple of movies. My Blue Heaven Addams Family Values School of Rock Class Working Girl Mister Wrong George
  15. Are you referring to Speed Force "Nora" or Barry and Iris's kid Nora? Both were evil for a time. George
  16. Tropics pretty quiet now. I doubt we'll have any serious threats the remainder of the year. George
  17. I was unaware of the early sequel. You are correct. Did you get it because I also posted it in "Name That Flick"? (Or maybe the other way around?) George
  18. As I said, familiar, but not too familiar. George
  19. Correct (The Steve Martin one) George
  20. Stargirl has been interesting. (Apparently, Lou Ferrigno has graduated from the Hulk to Solomon Grundy.) A friend of mine pointed out how DARK (visually) it is. I imagine that's because Eclipso has been causing bad weather, but the few sunlight scenes are almost jarring by comparison. Supergirl has gotten a little more preachy than it was (which was somewhat preachy, anyway). Also, the plot line seems rather mundane for a final season. John Diggle's appearances on Batwoman and Supergirl seem only to provide emotional support to other black characters. It's a little odd. George
