  1. Well, "Tom Swift"'s series finale ended with a cliffhanger, so it appears that a projected second season will not happen. The show had its moments, but I'm sure it didn't appeal to a wide audience. Stargirl starts back up at the end of the month. George
  2. Right. Barbara Duran was from the TV series Operation Petticoat. Laurie Strode: Halloween (et al.) Michelle Cody: Grandview USA Jessie Wilson: Perfect Wanda Gershwits: A Fish Called Wanda Helen Tasker: True Lies Cathy Munsch: (TV show) Scream Queens Etc. George
  3. None of those. This actress is the daughter of a famous actor and a famous actress. Lt. 4. Cameron Diaz The Green Hornet Edward James Olmos George
  5. "You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain." George
  6. Maggie May. I just had to "hear" Rod Stewart to get it. George
  7. Paul Rudd Ant Man Michael Douglas George
  8. Lt. Barbara Duran Laurie Strode Elizabeth Solley Dorothy Stratten Michelle Cody Ophelia Jessie Wilson Wanda Gershwitz Helen Tasker Tess Coleman Nora Krank Dr. Samantha Ryan George (This is definitely a famous actress, and a few of the above are from her best known films. None of the names are particularly iconic, however.)
  9. Lost in Space The Incredible Hulk Michael George
  10. I thought Neeson was in Michael Clayton, but that was Michael Collins. It's not Christian Bale or Morgan Freeman. Gary Oldman? If not, I've only got one more guess. George
  11. Sadly, no. I've heard of some of the movies but haven't seen any of them. George
  12. Still not ringing any bells. Not sure I could name a single actor in any of those films. George
  13. I'm tempted to give it to you. Okay, I'll give it to you. It's actually the very recent prequel, "The King's Man." George
  14. It is, of course, Shane. At the end, Shane rides off slowly. When he is quite far off, you can see him slump a bit. Doesn't look to me that he died, but judge for yourself. George
  15. That explains why I had no idea. Don't think I've heard of it before now. George
  16. Principal photography had been completed in October, 1951, but the amount of coverage shot by George Stevens resulted in such an extremely protracted editing process that the film wasn't released until August, 1953. All this drove up the costs of what should have been a simple, straightforward Western; in fact, they spiraled so much that Paramount approached Howard Hughes about taking on the property, but he declined. He changed his mind when he saw a rough cut and offered to buy the film on the spot. This made Paramount rethink its strategy--originally it was going to release it as a "B" picture but then decided it should be one of the studio's flagship films of the year. This proved to be a good decision, as the film was a major success and easily recouped its inflated budget. Does the hero die at the end? One of my friends says definitely. But that thought had never even occurred to me. The Batman TV show had a character parodying the title character of this movie. That seems to be what Raf (and maybe WW) are hinting at. George
