Stargirl has been interesting. (Apparently, Lou Ferrigno has graduated from the Hulk to Solomon Grundy.) A friend of mine pointed out how DARK (visually) it is. I imagine that's because Eclipso has been causing bad weather, but the few sunlight scenes are almost jarring by comparison. Supergirl has gotten a little more preachy than it was (which was somewhat preachy, anyway). Also, the plot line seems rather mundane for a final season. John Diggle's appearances on Batwoman and Supergirl seem only to provide emotional support to other black characters. It's a little odd. George

This movie was a remake of one from about 40 years earlier. One actor appeared in both versions. He played the same character. The earlier movie was his acting debut; this one was his last movie. One character is afraid of being bankrupted, forced to wander the streets in a bathrobe. This actually does happen to the same actor in another movie. This movie spawned a sequel. (The original did not.) One of the actors and one of the actresses portray an engaged couple through most of the movie. Relative unknowns, this was her first film. The two did appear together in a number of Hallmark commercials. Eugene Levy appears in this movie and in the sequel, but as a different character in each. The title characters of both versions of this movie have different names. In the later (this) version, the lead character is named after the father in "Mary Poppins," but his middle name is the same as the first name of the character in the original version. George

It was about that time that I gained respect for Penn as an actor. He had three VASTLY different roles in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Taps, and Bad Boys, and he did them all very well. I didn't remember Esposito, but I remembered Penn and Cruise. Whom were you considering the main character, Tim Hutton or George C Scott? George

Well, there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this "quiz." All of the shows mentioned except "Fantasy Island" are currently running on CW. (I forgot to add "Roswell," also on that channel.) There was a Fantasy Island reboot with Malcolm MacDowell on ABC in the late 1990s, but the current manifestation is on the FOX network. It stars Roselyn Sanchez as Elena Roarke, apparently the niece of the Ricardo Montalban character. She has her own "Tattoo," but this one is simply a woman with a tattoo and who is always referred to by her name ("Ruby"). The show lacks some of the charm of the original, but is definitely watchable. I have not seen the reboots of Dynasty, Charmed, 4400, or Roswell. The "Walker" show stars Jared Padalecki (of "Supernatural" fame). He's a Texas Ranger, but the episodes seem more about family drama than catching bad guys. And there is none of the Chuck Norris martial artistry. In fact, there are almost no fistfights. The current "Kung Fu" involves someone coming to America after studying at a Shaolin temple, but that's pretty much the only connection to the original. It stars Olivia Liang as Nicky Shen, who left her home in San Francisco to "find herself" at the temple and who returns to fight a supernatural foe to recover certain artifacts. In this version, pretty much all of the actors are Asian. I find "Fantasy Island," "Kung Fu," and "Walker" interesting enough to keep watching.
