I thought Neeson was in Michael Clayton, but that was Michael Collins. It's not Christian Bale or Morgan Freeman. Gary Oldman? If not, I've only got one more guess. George

Sadly, no. I've heard of some of the movies but haven't seen any of them. George

Still not ringing any bells. Not sure I could name a single actor in any of those films. George

I'm tempted to give it to you. Okay, I'll give it to you. It's actually the very recent prequel, "The King's Man." George

It is, of course, Shane. At the end, Shane rides off slowly. When he is quite far off, you can see him slump a bit. Doesn't look to me that he died, but judge for yourself. George

That explains why I had no idea. Don't think I've heard of it before now. George

Principal photography had been completed in October, 1951, but the amount of coverage shot by George Stevens resulted in such an extremely protracted editing process that the film wasn't released until August, 1953. All this drove up the costs of what should have been a simple, straightforward Western; in fact, they spiraled so much that Paramount approached Howard Hughes about taking on the property, but he declined. He changed his mind when he saw a rough cut and offered to buy the film on the spot. This made Paramount rethink its strategy--originally it was going to release it as a "B" picture but then decided it should be one of the studio's flagship films of the year. This proved to be a good decision, as the film was a major success and easily recouped its inflated budget. Does the hero die at the end? One of my friends says definitely. But that thought had never even occurred to me. The Batman TV show had a character parodying the title character of this movie. That seems to be what Raf (and maybe WW) are hinting at. George

"Reputation is what people think of you. Character is what you are." "I only make decisions when my stomach is full or my balls are empty." "Well, thank God dinner is being served." "Throughout time, our people robbed, lied, and killed. Until one day, we found ourselves... noble men. But that nobility never came from chivalry. It came from being tough and ruthless." "My flock, this will not be the war of heroes. Nations will slaughter each other, while we get rich. This is going to be fun." "We are the first independent intelligence agency. Refined but brutal, civilized but merciless." George

STILL no idea. WW? George

It's "Creeque Alley" (which is why I wasn't too concerned with spelling). Sort of a history of the Mamas and the Papas and the Lovin' Spoonful. Human's up. George -
