  1. On the other hand, that nasty little X off the coast of South America could very well wind up in the Gulf. George
  2. Sometimes it pays to check the other threads. Immigrant Song. George
  3. The airtime rule just gives everyone a chance. I was a big fan of the Captain and Tennille. Obviously, "Love Will Keep Us Together" would be well-known to all. "Muskrat Love" and "Do It to Me One More Time" less so, but still not unreasonable. "(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman" was a cover. Most would guess Aretha Franklin as the artist, which would also be acceptable. On the other hand, while I find "Broddy Bounce" adorable, I don't think it ever got airtime. Unless you bought the LWKUT album (or heard C&T in concert), you probably never heard it. George
  4. If at first you don't succeed, parachuting is not for you. George
  5. Not impacting the US, but Fiona is hammering Puerto Rico, and looks to be hard on Turks and Caicos and Bermuda... George
  6. Stupidly obvious is never a bad choice, though not every song has to be "Hey, Jude," either. Keep playing. Invite your friends. There was a time when the game threads had over a dozen players. That allowed a bit more wide-ranging puzzles. Have you tried the movie/TV threads? George
  7. "Gone in 60 Seconds"? (Better late than never...) George
  8. I don't recognize this one, either. Sorry. George
  9. Up, Up, and Away I may have done this one before, but "Sunshine came softly through my a-window today; Could've tripped out easy a-but I've a-changed my ways." George
  10. Tracking "Fiona." Most models have it curve up into the Atlantic, though some portend landfall in Florida or the eastern Gulf. George
  11. Not ringing a bell, sadly. George FYI, I'm in my mid-60s. I believe Human is about my age, with Raf and WordWolf a few years younger. My 'sweet spot" would be songs from about 1960 to 1980, though I know some other, later songs. This is not to say that you shouldn't post any song you want (within the "must have had air time" rule); but the few players we have might not know more recent tunes.
  12. Ummm..."Ten Second Chef" for E? George
  13. Note that any artist who performed the song (and actually had air time, not just some deep album cut) would be a correct answer, as long as those exact lyrics are in that artist's version. Covers don't always have exactly the same lyrics. Also, feel free to try "Songs Remembered from One Line." The artist isn't required for the answer. George
  14. The updated cast SHOULD help, but it doesn't. George
  15. If I were still married, I'm sure my ex would have known these. She was really into cooking shows. I haven't watched one since the divorce (12 years ago). George
  16. Iron Man 3 Ben Kingsley Without a Clue George
  17. In the meantime, Nathan, feel free to join in on the other games... George
  18. With 177 views and no replies (except this one), I suspect that there is no such setting. George
  19. Most of the roles seem to call for a Brit, and Mephistopheles requires a deep voice. (In the opera "Faust," he's a bass.) George
  20. I'm thinking we need a few more lines. George
  21. That's the one. Other than Bakula and Stockwell, there were no other regulars. Bakula was a starship captain (Enterprise) and federal agent (NCIS New Orleans). His "Oh, boy." was an ad lib which became the signature closing of each show. He is also an accomplished singer. George
