  1. You know, for better or for worse, I'm gonna say it. Some of you can be really freaking rude and juvinile. Roy posted something that he thought SOME people might be interested in. And some of you feel it necessary to poke fun at him by reposting what he posted with your little smart foot comments dispersed throughout the post. What's up with that? What has Roy ever done to you that you feel the need to make fun of him? And Garth, maybe some people would like to tell YOU to go home. Not that I am, but just saying. Rick
  2. So, based on your mentioning Patrick Swayze, and wasway's comment, is the title of the movie 2 opposing compass points? :)--> Rick
  3. Anyone remember his Mighty Mouse thing from Saturday Night Live? :)--> Rick
  4. Oh, just noticed your PS. Yep, it took place in New York (anyone care to name the bridge the taxi is driving on in the opening sequence?) :)--> And yes, Andy died young, unfortunetly. Too sad. Rick
  5. You are right, Sudo. It is really a matter of taste. See, the one you posted really doesn't do anything for me. But the Taxi theme(which, if you want to put a label on it, it would be jazz, not blues) to me sounds awesome! To each his own though! That's why there are so many different styles of music...something for everybody! Rick
  6. Wasway's posting of the extended version of the Cheers theme the other day, prompted me to go out and find the extended version of what I think is the best theme song ever written! Click HERE for the mp3 version and HERE for the smaller wav version. I don't think this long version was ever used for the tv show though...it's over 5 minutes long. :)--> Edited to say, I was wrong, it's over SIX minutes long. :)--> Rick

    Yellow Water

    So, is Oxygenated Yellow Water better for you than the standard low Oxygen content type? :D-->
  8. uh...am I the only one who has actually clicked on the link and listened to it? :)--> Rick
  9. Oh, and I did a google search to find out the name of the movie. Never heard of it. Rick
  10. I just mentioned the Ramones cause they covered it and it was kind of popular for a minute or two. :)--> So Max Frost and the Troopers weren't the original? Rick
  11. Well, since the Ramones are a real band, you must be talking about the original, by Max Frost and the Troopers. No idea what movie it was in though. Rick
  12. So wasway, is that like, some large, economy size pinch bug? Pretty ugly looking dude! Rick
  13. Right song, but I think your version is Chuck Berry. THIS is Nat! :)--> Rick
  14. I've never used any of those services as I have always had multiple static ip addresses (benefit of writing software for my dsl provider:)-->). But I have a friend who has been using dyndns for a while now and it seems to work very well. It's at http://www.dyndns.com . Rick
  15. The name of that show shares it's name with a real good song by Nat King Cole. Rick
  16. The star of that show was a real dog. Rick
  17. I'm not gonna say the singers name, cause someone OTHER than me HAS to know who this is. :)--> But his son said he called him Bocephus. :)--> Rick
  18. nah, don't think it's Willie. :)--> Rick
  19. Here it is, Jonny. :)--> Rick
  20. What is the difference between Michael Jackson and a garbage bag? One is black, made out of plastic, and not safe for kids to play with. The other is something you put garbage in.
  21. Actually, there have been many Lucille's over the years. But yes, the black one is a Gibson 345, the "current" Lucille. The following is from an interview with B.B. I have it in one of the many biographies that I have of him, but copied this from a website cause I'm too lazy to type the whole thing. :)--> FJ: Why do you name your guitars Lucille? B. B. KING: It started in 1949. In '49, I used to play a place quite often in Twist, Arkansas. Twist, Arkansas is about forty-five miles northwest of Memphis, Tennessee. It used to get quite cold in the winter there, so they used to take something like a big garbage pail and set it in the middle of the dance floor and half fill it with kerosene, light the fuel and that is what we used for heat in winter. People dancing would generally dance around it and never disturb it. But one night, two guys started to fighting and one knocked down one of them containers and it was already burning with kerosene and so when it spilled onto the floor, it looked like a river of fire and everybody started to run for the front door, including B. B. King. But when I got on the outside, I realized then that I had left my guitar on the inside. So I went back for it. The building was a wooden building and burning rapidly. It started to collapse around me and I almost lost my life trying to save my guitar. So the next morning, we found out that these two guys that were fighting were fighting about a lady that worked in the little dance hall. We learned that her name was Lucille. So I named the guitar Lucille to remind me to never do a thing like that again. FJ: How many Lucilles have you played through the years? B. B. KING: I'm playing Lucille XVI at this time.
  22. Well, it looks like a 335 but don't think it's a "Lucille" :(--> Rick
  23. Wow, I've heard a lot about Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf, but have never seen it. Going to have to check it out now. Thanks George! Rick
  24. So your saying that this movie only had 4 people with speaking parts? If so, then I'm SURE I don't know what it is. George was right, it was Django! The greatest (in my opinion) Jazz guitar player that ever lived! George, you mentioned Stephane Grappelli. Just so happens that I have a tune with Django and Stephane! Click HERE and name that tune. :)--> Rick
