Yup, I think you got it. No taxi's in this one, but this little "taste" should be enough for you to guess. :) Rick

Well, life would be kinda boring if it wasn't for stress now, wouldn't it? Although sometimes my business causes me so much stress that I would gladly take boredom for a time, I couldn't imagine life doing anything other than what I do, stress and all. But then, that's me, may not be for everyone. :) OK, I recently bought a 3 dvd set called "Walter Cronkite..the Vietnam Years". Over 12 hours of footage. Some really good stuff, although I don't agree with the reporters slant to a lot of it, especially the story of Tet, which was reported by the news as being a "military disaster" for the US. But the point of telling you all that...they play some killer background music throughout the series. One song I heard last night, had me really scratching my head. See, I had heard the song many times back in the late 60's but couldn't put a name to it. And to make matters worse, it was an instrumental! So can't google the lyrics. Well, I finally figured it out. Click HERE and name the artist and the song! Rick I HATE not being able to use html!

I'm sure it's just a coincidence. But man, what are the odds!

Homeland security watching where you surf. :D-->

Well, for George, and anyone else down there in Texas, stay dry and stay safe! This one's for you!

Congrat's ALa! Hope you have a good time! Well, guess the Buffy series just didn't do it for me. The movie was great, cause it was so hokey. Like, by the time she was done doing 5 backflips, she would have been Vampire food. :)--> Oh well! And yeah, Kristy Swanson was DEFINETLY easy on the eyes, as GeorgeStGeorge said! Agreed 100 percent! Funny though, she was supposed to be in high school, yet she was 23 when she made the movie. Brother Speed, Godspeed to you, my friend! Hope you come home soon, safe and sound! OK, will have to find some more themes now! Will try to have one by early morning!

Yep Pirate, it was Cagney and Lacy. Man, I really hated that show! And the Monkees...well, 'nuff said. :)--> See now, I LIKE Neil Young. But I like his stuff with Crazy Horse, not his solo acoustic stuff. Kinda like Dylan...his voice really sucks, but he has something about it that makes it work, even though it DOES suck. And yes, the song was Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. Now the one no one has guessed yet. Like I said, it was a really bad show. The only good thing about it was seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar, now that was worth looking at. :)--> The move really was funny, in a real corny kind of way though. Rick
-
Now give George some credit...CSN was a great group before Y joined and made it CSNY. Yes, Neil had some really good stuff..but it wasn't the same as it was with CSN. Not to say it wasn't as good, just not the same.

Yep, it's too bad Jimi had to die so young. Most people think of him only as a psychodelic rocker, but his early stuff was all blues. And damn good, too! OK, gonna do something different. I normally post themes to movies or tv shows that I like. This time I'm gonna post a couple to shows that I really hated. The first one, really had no redeeming qualities other than a couple realy cute chics. It shared it's name with a movie however, that was so corny it was funny! Click The next one was a show I REALLY hated, but I must have been in the minority, cause it ran for quite a long time. Some of us had our own name for this show, but it isn't polite to say in mixed company. :)--> Click HERE and tell us. Either you liked it or hated it! Now some of you will kill me for this next one, once it's stuck in your head and you can't make it stop! Hey, anyone here remember the Amazing Sea Monkeys From Mars thread? :)--> Click And last, but not least, HERE is a song that anyone over 35 (ok, maybe 40) HAS to recognize. Se what was the song, and who was the group? Dang, I think this is the longest post I've ever made on Greasespot. :)--> Rick

Hiway...sorry, I only had that version. The program I use to convert wouldn't convert this one, but I'm going to try to find something to convert it to a wav or something. The Stand was Great...I loved the movie...but as I'm sure you know, if you read the book, it just is never the same when they make it into a movie! Rick
-
1Knames...don't know about anyone else, but I got the "great with north" clue...good one. :)--> Yep, it was The Stand. I loved the book. Was really excited when I heard it was going to be a mini-series. Was REAL dissapointed after I watched it. Don't get me wrong...if I had never read the book I would have loved it. But you know...when you read a book, you get a picture of all the people how YOU think they look/act. I didn't think they really cast anyone right. There were a few that worked, and in fact, for the movie, the worked great. Guess it just didn't measure up to the pictures I had in my head from reading the book. Oh wel...:)--> Now something I have been meaning to do for a few weeks. A couple posters mentined ChattyKathy's singing. Well...click HERE and you can listen to her! Now...I had trouble converting this song...it will only work with the Windows Media Player for now...but I'm working on it. :)--> Rick
-
OK, back to movies for a moment. THIS song was used as the theme to a made-for-tv movie back in the early '90's. Actually, it was a mini-series. Anyone remember it?

Yep, Ted and George, it was Fats Himself! I was just looking for the Al Hirt one, but when I saw tha Fats version, after Ted telling the story about him, I thought it would be cool to post it also! Rick
-
Well thank you David! Now what I REALLY want is to get a Mandolin like the one in your pic and Cowgirls pic. I mean the style...is that what they call the "F" style? Mine is the other style, whatever they are called. :)--> Rick
