  1. Had a busy couple days, so if this one is lame, I apologize. :)
  2. TEST It looks like your missing a directory after the mom.baygeeks.com, as it seems to find that part. Rick
  3. Understood, WashingtonWeather. And I think it's a crying shame that they were able to make you pay for those unsolicited messages. Rick Belle, that's great if you can get away with it. Sometimes, I feel like it would be so great to throw my cell phone and my Pocket PC in the river, disconnect the dsl, and only answer the phone when I FEEL like it. Ah, what a fantasy! :) Rick
  4. Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy! Oh, wait...this isn't the movie thread. :) Sort of, anyway. 2 of the biggest self-proclaimed "infidels" here are 2 of my best "cyber buddies". I have spent more than a few hours talking to them on the phone. They know where I stand as far as my belief's, and I know where they stand. I have no desire to force my beliefs on them, and they have no desire to force their's on me. Funny, in all the hours of conversation we've had, we just don't discuss it. Hey, maybe I'm their "token" Christian friend. :) With both of these guy's, what is important is the things we have in common, not our differences. And for those reasons, I cherish our friendship. I guess I don't really don't have a point to make. So I'll bow out now. Thanks for listening! :) Rick
  5. Obscene voice mails? Details, Kathy, details! :D Rick
  6. I gotta agree with Sudo. I've had a cell phone since the mid 90's, back when it was a TOOL, and not a toy. I would not even have one now, if I didn't own a business and have to be acessable to my clients. My phone is turned off the minute I arrive home, and stay's turned off until I leave to go somewhere. And sometimes even then, if it's in the evening and I'm going out, it stays turned off unless I need to make a call. Funny thing is, people will call me on my land line and say "Hey, I just tried to call your cell and you didn't answer". Sometimes it's hard to to say, that's cause I'm sitting here at home right beside my land line which does NOT cost me per minute, jerk! Now, if I started getting text messages that I did not request and it was costing me, I would DEFINETLY reach out and smack someone. :) Rick
  7. Yep the first one is Nat King Cole. The second is Karen Carpenter. Two of the most beautiful voices ever! Rick
  8. No offense to anyone here but...my business is doing so good right now, that I do not have time to post on this thread. Matter of fact, I have no interest in this thread at all. So please, do not post quotes that I have made on another thread here. I have not posted on this thread. I do not want to be a part of this thread. Again, no offense to anyone on this thread...I just do not have time to post here, to defend myself here, etc. So please leave me out of it, ok? Thanks! :) Rick
  9. The Linux based prog that Pawtuckett spoke of is the one that ckeer gave you the link to. It is a great program and DOES work. I have used it many times. Tell your friend to be sure to actually type the word Administrator even if it's selected by default. After typing in the new password, be sure to tell it to write at the end. Also, you may want to reset the failed password count, in case that has been enabled on the machine. Rick Oh, and you may want to read the faq page here: http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ Rick
  10. Um, I grew up in a farming community. I have a degree. In fact, most of the kids that I knew that grew up on the farms around me went to college and got degrees...3 that I know of that have PhD's, one who is now a surgeon. I have only a lowly BA in computer science. And my GPA was only a lowly 3.7. :( Sorry, but that comment just had to be addressed. Carry on! :) Rick
  11. Hmmm... Ya'll are getting married. You live a thousand or so miles from him. You are there to visit for a few day's for Christmas. HE is making you sleep on the porch. Hmmmm....ok, sure I believe that. Sure. Uh-Huh! (Just being funny! Merry Christmas Moony and Ted!)
  12. Well, the day is over. Getting ready to go see my Dad. Just wanted to post 2 of my favorite Christmas songs, by 2 of the finest voices ever. (In my opinion, anyway! :) ) Click HERE and HERE! Hope everyone had a great day! Merry Christmas! Rick
  13. Andy Williams. Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Rick
  14. Not-Going-To-Google....Not-Going-To-Google.... :) Rick
  15. Now I'm really feeling stupid! I KNOW Fever, I love that song but just can't remember who it was. Not-Going-To-Google....Not-Going-To-Google....:) Rick
  16. I don't think it's Pat Benetar. Patti Smyth, maybe cause I'm not to up on her stuff. So c'mon Doc, don't keep us in suspense, who is it? :) Rick
  17. Yep, Raf got it! Sorry, I originally thought the first pic said 3.14, as that is what I searched google's image search for. And yep, it's a carob plant and the last one was Orson Bean. I found many older pics of him, but that would have been to easy now, wouldn't it? :) Rick
  18. Hey, pretend that the first pic that says 314 atually say's 3.14. Rick
  19. Sorry, I got busy yesterday and didn't get back to this. So...here goes!
  20. I Pray On Christmas...whatever the name of it is, good song! And of course, that is Harry Conick Junior. But I confess, I knew it cause I have the same mp3. :) Rick
  21. OK, but you will have to give me a little time to figure one out. You might say I haven't "Mastered the Thread" yet.(Raf's gonna hit me for that remark! :) ) Rick
  22. Good job there George! Although I have since learned a lot about scales and modes just by jamming with people who know all this technical stuff, I really DIDN'T know what syncopated meant. And now that I know, once again, it's something I've been doing for years but never knew the term for it. (Didn't really know there WAS a term for it!)
  23. hmmm...being HAPPY cause the FBI remembers you. What a concept! Rick
