OK, I'm a thief, but at least I'm not a bandwidth thief! Seriously, I was just pointing it out though, not trying to tell anyone they can't do it. And I have no clue on George's latest one. Rick

So what is the protocol here if no one guesses one for a while? Should I give clues? Rick
-
Don't know which is which, but based on the pic's you posted...the second one. Without a doubt! :) Rick

I just wanted to point out that linking directly to images on other websites is HIGHLY frowned on. That's because every time someone views this thread, the images have to be transferred from the other site, and it uses up thier bandwidth, which they have to pay for. Just thought I might should point that out, not lecturing or anything. :) Rick

Time, by Pink Floyd. And I believe the album was Dark Side of the Moon. Oh for sure he’s always missing And something is never quite right Ah, but who would want to listen to you Kissing his existence good night Rick

YAH MON, I HERE!

That was what I was thinking when I read the thread topic. You remember the LAME song they wrote for ROA that year? Be-e-e strong in the lord and the power of his might. Come on, making the word "be" a three syllable word? Rick

Didn't know you had a sister Josie, but, your welcome! Rick

Is it your computer that get's slower, or your internet connection? In other words, is it ok if your not doing on-line stuff? Or is everthing getting slower? Rick

No themes today, just a REALLY GOOD SONG!

Yep, Chicago. Love that group! And Kathy is right, yours is Earth, Wind, and Fire. Saw them many moons ago (MANY) at Whetstone Park, A.K.A. the Park of Roses in Columbus, along with Rare earth and McGuffy lane and uh, others, can't remember now who all was there. It was on the 4th of July, and they were really playing up the "Saturday In The Park" thing. They didn't get Chicago to perform though. Probably couldn't afford them since it was a free concert. :) Rick

OK, maybe not what you were looking for Cowgirl, but HERE is a "Run" song. And by one of my favorite groups at that! Rick

I came late to the party this time, so I'm just gonna come out and say it. The show was called the Girl with Something extra. I don't remember it, but I posted it about a year or 2 ago. :) WhiteDove, good to see you here! Hang around and play! Got another "run" song in mind, if I can find it, I'll post it. Rick

OK, if I 'm right, Raf got it first so he can post the next one. Barber Pole Leeza Gibbons Felix the Cat Demi Moore Police Academy? Rick

George: This thread takes many turns at times. Some of us get on a kick posting music from time to time. With me, it's usually because I don't have time to go out and find tv and movie theme songs, but want to keep the thread rolling, so I'll post something I already have on my hard drive. But eventually, it comes back around to the tv and movie themes. This afternoon, I promise I'll go find some more on-topic things to post! :) Rick

Yep, that's it George! Wow, I stumped Raf? Rick

Uh, hello? Is there anybody IN there? :) It's really not THAT difficult! Rick

Back in the early days of pop music, it was not unusual for more than one group, or singer to make the top 100 charts with the same song. And in more than a few cases, for 2 groups to have the same song chart in the same week. This was one of those songs and I'm not really up on my late 50's pop music. Pat Boon charted with this one, as did andy williams. And I listen to Pat and Andy RARELY, so I wouldn't be able to even make a guess. But if I HAD to guess, comparing the voice to Moon River, I would guess Andy. Rick Edited to say, make that late 50's/early 60's cause I'm not sure which time frame this song was from.

Wow, that's an oldie! Grey Desk Cape The Great Escape! Rick

Damn google image search anyway! I thought she looked funny, but I was in a hurry and didn't check it close. Thanks for posting the real pic George! By the way, what do you all think of the Irish song? Rick
-
Yep, no doubt! Baily. And just in case you wondered what she looked like without the glasses:

Kathy, I don't know who the second one is. Just as a couple guesses, Duke Ellington? Miles Davis? I like that kind of music but I'm not good at recognizing whodunit. :) OK, since we're on a Mountain Music kick, how about a DIFFERENT kind of Mountain Music? Or, try THIS one for a REALLY different kind of Mountain music!(Hope everyone gets the pun on that one. :) ) Rick

Oh wait...the dog is shaking his head "yes". Yes Monks? No, that doesn't work. But the Monks are Men, so....The Yes Men? Rick
