I have been collecting the Next Generation series. I have the first 5 seasons so far but I'm waiting for the last 2. They want like 135 dollars each for seasons 6 and 7. I've only watched the first season and less than half the second so far. So far I have learned that there were a LOT of episodes I've never seen, or at least, don't remember. I have also learned that there were a LOT of episodes that were so bad that I don't WANT to remember them. :) But I do like these boxed sets. Really nice and the first 5 are reasonable at around 51-55 dollars per season. A bargain, really as there are around 24 episodes per season (which equates to 24 hours of entertainment for 55 bucks)

Ca Dreaming...YOU knew the artist also, so that makes YOU the winner! :) Go for it!
-
It's Don't Pay the Ferryman but as far as the artist, I have no clue. One hit wonder? Do I get partial credit? :) Rick

Oh, and Sushi, what I should have said was the song is BY Hot Tuna. Rick
-
OK, I had to do a little searching and sure enough, the old Hot Tuna album I used to have is available on Amazon.com. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000002WX...ance&n=5174 Scroll down to Listen To Samples and give Death Don't Have No Mercy a listen. :) Now Jack Cassady, Jorma Kaukonen, and Joey Covington were in both JA and HT. Also, Hot Tuna existed at the same time as JA with Cassady and Kaukonen being in BOTH bands at the same time. Rick

uh, the song you played was Hot Tuna. Right? Rick
-
George is correct...better to stay silent. Some Sys Admin's have NO sense of humor. :) Rick
-
Ah, Sushi, your a Hot Tuna fan! Cool! Wasway would know this one also! And George, what's up with my server being blocked? Can you ask your sys admin why? I would really like to know. Rick

Sorry, could never stomach them. I rated them right up (or would that be down?) there with Donnie and Marie. Rick
-
Yep, Kathy has heard me talk about them. :) This is the one I use on my Strat. Mine is the one on the left: Then we have these 2 for the 6 and 12 string. The crushed velvet was so 70's retro, I just had to! :) I have the purple and the blue ones: And finally, the nicest one I have is the one I use on the resonator: Rick

Stevie Ray's 2 best...Texas Flood and The Sky Is Crying, in that order. :) DVD's...Get Live at Montreux, a 2 disc set. Has both the 1982 concert (where they actually Boo'd him) and the 1985 show.. Also, SRV and DT Live from Austin, Texas. That is the 2 appearances on Austin City Limits. And Finally, Live at the el Mocambo. Yeah, I have a few of his DVD's. :) Rick

Be careful of those places though. Their "fix" too often is to reformat the hard drive and then send your computer back with nothing on it. Not saying ALL of them do things like that, but I know of many in my area who will take that as the easy way out. 1 hour, maybe a little more, and they charge you 85-100 bucks. I do this kind of stuff for a living also, and usually don't reccomend any one solutions. Usually, you have to use a number of different programs to get totally "clean". I had been hit by a real nasty one, a variant of the About:Blank worm/trojan/whatevertheheckitis exploit. Tried for 3 days to get rid of it. No matter what I did, soon as I left safe mode and went back into normal mode and accessed the internet, it came right back. I took a chance on adware-away and in less than 5 minutes, my computer was totally clean and I never got it back again. Adware-away is not a "preventative" measure...it will not keep you from GETTING malware. But it's the best thing I've seen for getting rid of it after the fact. Rick Oh, and just wanted to mention, the offer to send you her hard drive was mighty nice of you John!
-
Try the adware-away that I suggested before you go pulling out your drive and all that. Really, it will more than likely fix you up but if it doesn't, they will create custom removal tools for registered customers. Rick

Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64..

Hilarious! Rick -
Ya know Jonny, I could have let the frog turd comparison slide as just an ignorant comment. But when he compared country singers to LAWYERS!! WTF? The worst insult you can sling at someone! Comparing them to LAWYERS! Oh, the humanity! Rick
-
kyhills, maybe you should read a little more carefully. There is a GREAT BIG difference between insulting a type of music, and insulting people who PERFORM a type of music. If someone wants to say that country music, blues, rock and roll, or whatever type of music sucks, then fine, their opinion. Now THAT statement is insulting to those who PERFORM the music, some of who may be posters on this very board, like dmiller. Do you not see the difference? And by the way, welcome to Greasespot. Rick
-
Stuff like George said really is mostly his opinion. And that's ok. But in making the above statement Out There, you have insulted thousands of artists and their fans. Not cool. Maybe you should retract it and offer an apology to those who like country music. Personally, as a musician I like most all types of music, or, if nothing else, I can respect the talent involved. Except cRap music because there is no musical talent involved and as such, should NOT be eligible for Grammy Awards, but that is my opinion. Rick

Best program you can get for this kind of stuff...Adware Away. Will have you fixed up in less than 5 minutes. It's not free, but it's cheap at 29.95. You can get it HERE.

Was the Vincent Price movie Dr. Phibes? Rick

Socks...Hit it my friend! I'm building the compressor...something I don't have. But I want to do the "fully loaded chorus"...looks sweet! Can't get the entire kit now, but you can get the base kit with instructions for the mods, if you aren't afraid to drill your own holes. My kit won't arrive till Thuresday. Ordered on a Holiday weekend...oh well. :) I will post my progress (or lack thereof) :) here. :) Rick

I just said hi, but there was no one there. Which is cool, cause I"m leaving in less than 10 minues. :) Rick
-
Yep! I'll try to rip it for you tonight and post it. Rick
-
Well, HERE is my next project. It's ordered, but it may be 2 or 3 weeks before I have the time to start it. If all goes well, I plan to build a few more of thier effects. Some, including this one have different "mods" you can choose. Looks like it will be a lot of fun! Rick
