The soft shell ones worked pretty good for bait. I never knew a country person to call them crayfish. Matter of fact, I remember in science class wondering what the heck a crayfish was, then I saw a picture. Told the teacher the book was wrong, that's a crawdad. :)
-
Yes, it's the same critter. But only city people and science teachers call them crayfish.

Yes, some parts of Ohio have sulfur in the water. So does Florida. And I just about betcha Washington too. But the overall post is still very insulting.

Sorry George, but I agree with Watered Garden. I grew up in rural Ohio, and all the slams I see here on GS about the state get really old. Inbred? Seriously? That was uncalled for. And fetid odor? You obviously no nothing about the state. You have insulted my entire family heritage, and you really owe those of us that live here an apology. Oh and as to the remark about the water, guess what? We had a natural spring, and the water tasted so good, the people from the CITIES, would come and ask if they could get a gallon or two, quite often. And one last thing. It's freaking crawdad, not crayfish!

I thought he was more the Batman type. Although more often than not, he's probably made to feel like the Underdog type.

Oh, you knew my twig leader too!

Dude! You got the G-Chip? I TOLD you that thing would give you brain damage! Pull it out, NOW!

I had already been kicked out before I knew of any of it. I learned about it years later on Waydale and here.

What I would like to know is, do they operate the same way twi did? Do they Mark and Avoid when someone doesn't toe the line? Do they require attendance at all ministry functions? Do they require 10 percent of your income for God to spit on you? Do the teachers spit when they teach? Do they shun anyone who isn't in the ministry? What if a class is being run and you can't go because of your job, do they "suggest" you quit your job to "put God first"? How different are they really from twi? Or are they pretty much the same?

I've found that works really well. Every time I think about that nasty scumbag wench I.... Wow, I feel nice and warm already!

Shortfuse, I think you read too much into GT's post. I didn't see any malice towards the person who died, just an honest question about twi.

Gayle Sayers said The Lord is first, my friends are second, and I am third in the book I Am Third. There was a movie about it too, called Brian's Song. I think that was the name, anyway. But I don't believe I ever heard it used in The Way. Maybe it was, I just don't remember hearing it myself.

LOL! I looked it up so I'm not gonna answer, but funny funny song. :) -
I spoke in tongues WAY before I even started the pfal class. I also saw genuine miracles. No, not getting a good parking space or dumb crap like that. But I won't bother sharing as, since it happened while I was in twi, I'll just be called a liar, deluded, or whatever.

Ooo, big man behind the computer. You throw that term around with my Cousin's GERMAN husband around I guarantee he will kick your teeth in. And you would go running like a scared little girl. OK Moderator's, if you allow slurs against one group, I don't expect to see anyone moderated for using slurs against ANY group. If that's how you want this board to be, so be it. And a slur is a slur, I don't care how much you detest an individual, it's still wrong.
-
So Garth, if a Mexican does something really horrible, it's ok to use a slur such as wetback then? I'll be sure to remember that. Slurs are ok, as long as enough people in the group hate someone of that nationality. Oh, and I don't have to ask Excathedra ANYTHING dude, I've talked to her more than a few times. I don't know vp, never heard of the way till he was dead and don't give a damn about him. I'm talking about using a slur that insults a whole country. But if you're that small-minded, go for it.

Yep, New Frontier by Donald Fagen! And you are correct, excellent album! I couldn't find a decent youtube video of it, but if you heard it George, I'm sure you would recognize it from the first line. :) -

...Rooms to let fifty cents. :) King of the Road. Not sure who the most popular version was, but Roger Miller did it, among others. -

Maybe it's not as well known as I thought. -
I don't use my real name simply because I don't want it all over the internet. I would have no problem telling anyone in a private message though. Garth, the kraut term was uncalled for. Hate vp all you want but that doesn't give you the right to use slurs like that.

Sorry it took me so long to get back. See if this helps: Yes, I really got to hand it to you 'Cause girl you really tried But for ev'ry time that we spent laughin' There were two times that I cried And you were tryin' to make me your martyr And that's the one thing I just couldn't do
