  1. Wouldn't be Christmas without THIS! See Sudo, I'm paying my pennance for not posting much this Christmas season. :) Rick
  2. THIS really brings back memories! Rick
  3. Can't help you much when it comes to Mac's, but if Pawtuckett stops by, he probably can. You were right, the show was Amos and Andy. Rick
  4. I knew what that was as soon as I started listening. Not that I'm old enough to remember when the series ran, and I don't think I"ve ever seen it in reruns. But the way the man was talking made it kinda obvious. Rick

Oh, and Kathy...almost forgot you mentioned it. :) Rick
  6. After viewing that, I came across a video of a pretty fun telnet site. Go to Start, run, and type in telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl and watch an ascii-art version of Star Wars 4. :) Rick

Socks and Dmiller, thanks. I'd much rather have someone say that I really suck than just ignore the fact that I posted something. :) Dmiller, it was on my dobro but not lap style. Rick

I didn't have a lot of time to spend on this, but I'm posting it anyway. :) Click HERE for a slightly bluesy take on an old Christmas classic! Rick
  10. I am not a fan of software firewalls. If you want a firewall, get a router, or even spend a couple hundred bucks on a firewall appliance. The high end would be a SonicWall appliance, but there are cheaper ones that would be better for home use. GT is correct, most people who have been compromised have NO idea that their computer is sending out spam, or even worse...keyloggers, you name it. I have not read any statistics on the issue, but I would be willing to bet that 75 percent or better of all the unpatched Win XP machines on the net are compromised. NOTE, I said "unpatched"...machines that do not have service packs, hotfixes, etc. installed. Rick
  11. QUOTE(socks @ Dec 17 2006, 05:34 PM) Well, you can't say politics without saying "tic". (socks 24:2, Open Standard Version, Revised) It's got 'em by the bag full. So you know the definition of politics then! Poli meaning many, and tics meaning "blood sucking parasites" :) (Yes, I know this is not a real definition, or even accurate...but it's STILL funny!) Rick
  12. Actually, if you used the expression daddy-O, you would have been a HEP cat, not a HIP cat. :) Rick
  13. Garth, do you REALLY have to use phrases like that? And before you or anyone else says it, yes, I am fully aware that this is not a Christian board. But some of us who participate here ARE Christians, and find expressions like that offensive. So would you please try to have a little respect for those who have different belief's than you do? Rick
  14. I don't know what Father Knows Best has to do with it, but isn't that Andy and Helen from the Andy Griffith Show? I seem to remember seeing that one but maybe I'm wrong. Rick
  15. The uncle looked like he was geekin'. Couple lines too many? Rick
  16. She Loves You. (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah)
  17. Too many lives they've spent across the ocean. Too much money been spent upon the moon. Well, until they make it right I hope they never sleep at night They better make some changes And do it soon. Rick
  18. Gee, this one's tough eh? :) A show about a boy and his dog uh, make that a boy and his pet from the Ursidae family. Off to work now! Rick
  19. HERE is a theme song from a show that a lot of people liked. I wasn't one of them though. :) Rick
  20. Man, 4 A.M. look a lot better when your just going to bed than it does when your just getting up. :( They're goin ruin the air we breathe Lord have mercy. They're gonna ruin us all, by and by.
