Thx Twinky I looked it up and captured some info. The Way always tells the USA folk about how they are a worldwide ministry and that’s why they can’t change. Some details about this worldwide ministry.

Uh huh. All intellectual capital belongs to God so there is no plagiarism because you can’t steal from the source. Parallel logic to: All women in the kingdom belong to the king so having sex with them is claiming your just rights. Narcissism + lack of boundaries + enablement. -
the trinity: asset, or liability?
chockfull replied to johniam's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Ok I’ll post. The trinity was an asset to VP as it is a mainstream doctrine that is not clearly defined, and the mystery imagery accepted on faith by many denominations is confusing. As such this represented a main area to draw followers away from their churches in the 60s as opposed to taking his classes and keeping their loyalty to their home churches. By taking a hard line stance on the trinity and dead alive they could deepen that into conspiracy theory in the advanced class and plant seeds of doubt by teaching that all major heads of denominations are born of the seed of the serpent. That proved to be enough to tear people away from their churches. Attack the trinity, isolate students on the farm for some brainwashing, get them to believe they are some kind of Star Wars rebel alliance fighting the evil Empire. That proved to be enough to extract people from the Christian brethren in their churches and give up their money and allegiance to follow the pied piper Wierwille into a life of meaning moving the Word over the World. I would say for VP the trinity was a major asset in selling the long con. -

Waysider your statement is exactly where the Way is trying to position ole VP the plagiarist lecher. They are trying to sell him as creative inspiration from God not lying and stealing from low morals. The main issue with the plagiarism is that it cements lying stealing and political moves in as corporate culture - the unwritten rules. Every following President has also lied with zero remorse that is their MO - they don’t value truth they value political capital. They lie, cover up the sins of the past, double down on the existing infrastructure and keep on keeping on. They know no other way. That is the Way. -

Wow uncanny how this is exactly the same structure as set up by the Mormons and Jehovahs Witnesses. God -> Apostle -> Leaders for the Mormons God -> Watchtower Society -> Leaders for Jehovahs Witnesses I guess cults will cult. -

All of these were correspondence schools. This needs explaining in the day of the virtual classroom. Correspondence schools have written essays and papers as the primary artifact of education written on topics by the student and graded by the staff. So Monday morning Dr A would go to mailbox, get the typewritten essay probably mostly put together by Rhoda, and make a few red pen comments, write a hand written one page eval and mail it back to Wierwille with comments. Rinse and repeat for a year or so, then mail out diplomas. One of the main thing to note here is the lack of real formal education in Theology, or a seminary with real oversight of peoples lives, or anything with any accountability. I think Wierwille was mostly allergic to accountability. -

They inflated the education credentials as always. Pikes Peak Seminary and Burton College - LMFAO Wikipedia states first sentence this is an unaccredited correspondence school in Manitou Springs Colorado. It is known by two names. Why? This is a physical home in that city - a residential home that took on boarders. Two of these boarders had doctorate of Theology degrees, one named Burton. They started a correspondence school. The curriculum was mail in an essay every once in a while with your tuition and come travel to speak in person to graduate and get your degree. No college campus. No classes. -

Also removed the Canadian minister from whom the Adv class format was lifted. The one who ordained VPW son Don. -

Wow I just noticed they removed JE Stiles who led VP into SIT and who he copied his book 70% of to produce Receiving the Holy Spirit Today from the list of those Christians he worked with. -
Yes I would agree that too looks very whitewashed compared to the Honk if You Worship One God Not Three bumper sticker that I bought from the bookstore many years ago. It reads similar to a mainstream Christianity church or denomination. it definitely hides the fact that over time they have had less and less outside influence from any other Christian source. Wierwille early on had the spiritual 40 club where his rich congregation members paid to fly in speakers like KC Pillai. That probably marks the last time any external Christian source is even considered. Martindale, Rivenbark, neither had any outside Christian influences. Rvenbarks main outside influence was a lawyer not a minister. Whitewash cult is closed circle with self appointed unquestioned directors. Closed circles only perpetuate themselves. They are most driven towards preserving their positions of power through Machiavellian action.

It fits like a couple of hands in bracelets.

It is eerie how completely different cults like Scientology and The Way having polar opposite views and products all become so similar in how they execute. Isolate and control. Consume all of the followers time and money with activity to mask that they truly have nothing to help. Who knows whether Maggie will survive the Muggings.

So most of mainstream Christianity has a focus on the new birth. Peoples experiences of being “born again” are magnified and many times Christians get to know one another by how they became born again and the story involved, much as learning about Paul from his road to Damascus account. The Way Int has a focus instead on “taking the class”. Similar stories are told in Way circles not about the born again story but about the I first took the class story. The classes themselves don’t focus on the new birth, the culmination of the class is SIT in a group, which they say is the same thing. After some time and reflection I am thinking not so much. About a decade ago a few years after freeing myself from the bondage of being under the way BOD rule I was traveling around for work. This is something that I never would have been able to do in the way, and work itself was not very plentiful with a Way Corps work resume, so I took what I could get and hit the road. After work one night on a Wed night the hotel I was staying at was right next door to a Baptist church, and I saw a flyer about free dinner so I went over and checked it out. They were wrapping up the food and putting it away nobody else around but they broke out the containers fixed me a plate and sat down and chatted me up while I ate. I finished the meal and enjoyable conversation and cruised into the auditorium. The church was maybe a medium sized church that had been established in the local area for 30 years and was starting a church plant at a new location. The meeting was not the normal one, but was one of their baptism celebrations. They kind of apologized for the format departure when starting and got into it. It was a water baptism ceremony, and each candidate had a little slide show they made about the deliverance they experienced with Jesus, and their experience with members of the church and the church. Then they had some reading baptism of Jesus I think, then did a partial immersion of the person in a tank. This tank is permanent and covered usually but they can uncover it for this. The person then did a live sharing. At the end the pastor over the ceremony basically said thanks for coming see you later not a huge teaching no grandstanding or anything. So I’ve ran a lot of PFAL classes and run many people through them. My own parents took PFAL more to relate to me than any interest directly. They did the 12th session group thing then went back to their church and regular prayer patterns. I really see a huge difference between the celebration of the new birth like that Baptist church did, and the Way International. The Way International twists the experience of the new birth and embeds SIT in a mandated directed format as a replacement. The performance in this is evaluated and discussed in leadership post class. The focus was always on “did this person manifest” as opposed to any celebration of the new birth or focus on Jesus story and change in the persons life. The Way is Jesus Christ. The Way International is a man made organization Tower of Babel that is anti Christ as it takes the worship and adulation due our Lord and Savior and redirects it to an organization and a class and the control of them established.

B I’m kinda more inclined to give everyone room to be themselves because I was a fundamentalist in a cult. That is kind of the definition of non inclusion. So I’m trying to fix that slowly… We each I am certain experienced our own version of TWI. Some experienced more or less of certain things and others were hidden from sight unless you were the victim.
