I don’t find wedges all that interesting. A person who is flesh and blood can’t fellowship with spirit according to your GP. They are just body and soul. I agree that the simple reading of I Cor 12-14 and Rom 12 right together seems to present a great picture of how to live in the new birth with love and harmony as opposed to rote manual instruction on operating manifestations. Gifts, talents, manifestations many of those words are used and interchangeable in that section.
