What I last remember is her salary was around $25K, which was far less than the Prez cabinet gets paid. She has inheritance money, which paid for the land and materials for her house. Way Builders built the house. Working lunch is free every day. They have little expense there. Her only expenses would be utilities and property taxes on her house, food not covered by the Way, etc. And now that she's on Social Security she may not draw a salary. But at that level, there are plenty of things paid for that don't even require spending a meager salary. And yes, she has to avoid direct sunlight.

Shellon, Make a copy of the email and send it to the current Way International Board of Directors. Ask them if that's the way they teach their followers to "witness" to former members. Ask them if they'd be comfortable seeing that e-mail in a public news piece on their organization. They are turds, but honestly there is nothing that's going to affect that deluded individual like getting smacked down by their own leadership. And that will happen if you escalate it. People like that will only learn boundaries if they suffer consequences for violating them. It will also send a message to other similar minded 'tards. I'm way past putting up with these idiot's shenanigans. CF

The "lifers" on Prez cabinet get a salary. They're not learning. They are training. Rosie has her little system of running events she teaches them all and they all do it. Others who are the grunts there for 20 years just don't have anywhere else to go - like the dude in lighting. Your writeup on the elements of the conflict of interest are good thoughts and analysis OldSkool. On the non-compete agreement, she did that. Except it was a policy that people didn't have to agree to - it was a new policy set from the Directors, that no Way Corps leadership could have a distributorship of any kind or resell anything. This by the letter of it even ruled out becoming a paper distributor for personal use discounts, although I doubt they could expect to enforce that.

Federal Court Claims Right to Regulate Scripture Interpretation
chockfull replied to James Trimm's topic in About The Way
The Way's Director's conscience is so seared that they will never act out of Christian compassion. The only way they will move is through legal action. You don't seem to have much legal recourse. Of course publicly exposing their lack of Christian compassion is always a good option. -
Well again what they say and what they do when it pertains to themselves are 2 different things. Now Rosie herself has drawn little salary as she had inheritance money, and her home was built by Way Builders so cost her nothing or next to nothing, which she paid long ago. She doesn't pay rent like anyone living in Founders Hall or the Mobile Home park. However, this is not the case for Prez cabinet. Even when others are working barely above minimum wage, these few have much higher salaries approved. They are paid management / corporate VP level salaries (certainly in their sector). Some have certainly paid cash for homes in the local area from what they've made from their salaries. Jesus taught that the greater should be the greater servant. He did not teach that they should conform to a corporate scaled salary level. However, if you start to look at The Way like a corporation, complete with laws and politics that plague every corporation, then it starts to make more sense. In some ways due to the "spiritual" tag they excuse every behavior with, the evil in politics and the using of people is much worse than a standard corporation, because you have no checks and balances. "God" leading people, and the tenet that you believe God is leading the people in charge is the trump card that they pull to back people down, to maintain loyalty, and to excuse atrocities against perceived enemies. In this it is closer to what you would see in a Communist regime than it is to what you see even in corporate environments. I know I was typically treated much better in the world than I was in the Way. This includes all the typical corporate BS I experienced in the world. Rosie answers to nobody. Yet she will eventually answer to God. And so will her successors. Let's cover a little of Vicster's ethics teachings, even though they were basically college freshman level [Lifestyle of a Believer]. No man is the means to another man's end. And an ethical business transaction is good for both parties. "Training" mature advanced class grads is the fallacy there. In reality, those who have been on staff for years have only "staff" experience with which to train people. Many advanced class grads have much more directly skilled experience in direct areas that could benefit the Way. Yet the whole corporate culture shuts them down from providing it. They are being trained. They are not training. In essence, they are being used under the guise of being trained. For this "training" to be valuable, it would benefit the individuals when leaving Staff. And yet there are countless tales of people on staff for decades that have to start over and build a new career, because the "experience" they obtained on staff is not viewed as "experience" in areas that corporations recognize. LCM is a prime example - he used to brag that he could be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. When he left he hefted boxes at UPS part time like a college job. This is an altogether too common story. The "training" is a narrow-minded, egotistical indoctrination towards certain policies and procedures. Sure some level of preparation is part of any job. But the Way did not originate the dress rehearsal before a performance. Yet they act like it. They teach a narrow-minded egotism, and that attitude stinks from miles away. In a corporate team environment it is a death sentence for a career. Their "training" does more harm than good. Yeah - your examples of scrubbing toilets are a great one. People "learn humility" by peeling potatoes, scrubbing toilets, and working on grounds being "ridden hard and put away wet". WOW. That sounds like the jobs I had as a teenager. That's the stage of someone's career that they should experience that. Not throughout the duration of it. The day that scrubbing toilets, peeling potatoes, and cutting grass actually provide the training they promise is the day you see Rosalie doing it. Otherwise it's just her using people, bending them to her will, and establishing an egotistical pecking order. It's a dysfunctional corporate environment, posing as a research, teaching, and fellowship ministry. The corporate culture kills all 3 of their supposed tenets and purpose for being.

Federal Court Claims Right to Regulate Scripture Interpretation
chockfull replied to James Trimm's topic in About The Way
An apple is a fruit. A banana is a fruit. Therefore an apple is a banana. This also is a categorical syllogism (which you spelled wrong). Categorical syllogisms are not a construct of logic. They are something you made up to sound smart. Yet in spite of your BS rhetoric, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Yes, Scripture interpretation and doctrine are tied together, and there certainly is a causal effect between how a group interprets Scripture and what they teach as doctrine. And TWI's "beliefs" conveniently will fall within whatever laws they deem convenient for the Little Napoleons and Little Queen Victorias to remain in their little positions of diminishing power. -
Linder is one of those who if he gave a deposition it could implicate virtually everyone there at HQ. There are a few of those types around - they know too much to really jack with.

acai is awesome. even more awesome now that Costco sells it for 2 large bottles for $10. Kind of takes all the wind out of the MLM scams though. I remember all that. Gary did this big Corps teaching on MLM - and was waffling back and forth on opinion that SELLING a product was OK, but building a MLM pyramid was not. He also taught about how it was like Balaam to sell the stuff, you know - the greedy of filthy lucre is what they were saying. Then Rosie made a policy that you couldn't do it at all. And yes, Ira, Steven from Way of USA deptmt. all got busted down and sent out. All you long timers on staff, take heed. Either kiss the foot of the pope - ette, or prepare your resume! Here's a unique concept. It's like from business. Hire less people. And pay them more. Then everyone might even have something to do besides mindless BS. But yes, when you have people surviving on minimum wage, then you see the Prez. cabinet paying cash for homes in the local area from savings from their fat salaries, it does tend to spread dissension in the ranks. the "conflict of interest" just means it is a conflict because it isn't under Rosie's micro-management leadership style. Since she has zero interest in the well being of staff or followers, there's no genuine conflict. If she can't control it, it's aeee-vill, you know. does a fat bear sh1t in the woods? rosie's like one of those wicked witches in the Wizard of Oz. Looks so intimidating, until you pour water on it. Cheers, OldSkool

I don't want to be the guy who is an enabler to a bunch of little Napoleans and Queen Victorias running around. -
LCM vs. David Koresh? Douchier. And with tights and a rainbow colored headband. And he was doing the seed lady.

It almost just motivates you to put on some headphones, crank up the Pearl Jam, and sing at the top of your lungs..... Oh I, oh, I'm still alive Hey, I, I, oh, I'm still alive Hey I, oh, I'm still alive

I think the only accurate comparison between VPW and David is that currently they both are dead.

Another nice little document drafted up by Louis Columbo. He's such a diligent lawyer. I wonder how much this document cost? 15pp. 20 or so case citations? $250/hr. ? Your ABS at work. They're making sure that after they've chased off and denigrated the majority of the people that worked on the Aramaiac translation that now they can spend ABS to ensure their rights to the work are ensured. The more I see TWI's actions, the more they look like a little po-dunk corporation engaging in typical petty corporate actions as opposed to anything related to Christianity.

Yes. When numbers in a limb start to dip below 100, then they would ask the person to go get a job.

H3ll yes their tactics of M&A, "probation", and their elite spiritual caste system inflict deliberate emotional distress. You never find out who your true friends really are until you leave. I won't curse them myself on earth, but will leave it to my Father who said "vengeance is mine, I will repay". And I hope I can have a ringside seat at the judgements when that happens. Of course I've heard several leaders teach false doctrines about that - that nobobdy will have to answer for their sins at the bema, they'll only be rewarded. They can live in their self-created delusional world where they move on and wipe saints blood off their hands and try to make themselves feel better. But it doesn't fool God.

Spectator Christianity
chockfull replied to Tzaia's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
We are all spectators. The only man hanging on the cross was my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you aren't a spectator to the most powerful event in the history of mankind, then YOU are missing the point on the way to your superiority complex. -
Naw it's cool. I was just flashing back to 2004. Oh, and newbs will only ever be what you p4wn in Modern Warfare 2. And innies and outies are belly buttons.

Why did Geer's Patriarch Paper "rock our world?"
chockfull replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
But if you look at any of the Mormon offshoot cults, that's exactly how their leaders are viewed - as the 'patriarch' of the tribe. That enables the control. In this fashion, of course Wierwille was a 'patriarch'. and today Rosalie is a 'matriarch'. -
Why did Geer's Patriarch Paper "rock our world?"
chockfull replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
IMO Geer was making a power play for control of the whole ministry. However, he only had the POOP document as oppposed to legitimate rule and control over the Trustees. He tried to play on their minds to get them to quit. Martindale wouldn't quit. Geer's ego was so huge that he as documented here in his own eyes was the only one who could run Europe and make it work. He already had control over that, and putting Johnny and Ricardo on the Trustees would help move towards the power play. But you see he still didn't have a majority on the Trustees to vote Martindale out. Howard and Don were still with Craig on the not quitting part, and all were under attack together from Geer. In a way that backfired as them being under fire strengthened their bond. I'm sure Geer tried to get them to vote Craig out but never could succeed. Craig had the power given to him publicly with his installation. So he retreated to Gartmoor. -
From screeching to now boring them to sleep. The Way International is just too stupid to learn !!!

If you dig around here a little bit and read women's accounts of their sexual abuse at the hands of VPW and put the timelines together I think that a logical conclusion is that Geer at least facilitated much of that while he was VPW's coach driver if not participated himself. Think about it - someone drugged some of the girls' drinks by their accounts while they were with VP. Geer did all of this to ingratiate himself into VP's inner circle, which led to power. At that point this type of behavior was a doctrine among that circle. Everyone there practiced it or expected it and looked past it. There's no blackmail for behavior people don't consider wrong. It is no wonder with that kind of rabid immorality functioning in those inner circles that the whole facade would come crumbling down at some point, and devolve into power-grabbing battles of ego. What many started to wake up to at different points in time was the sickness that was at the very center. It has hidden itself from time to time and there are whitewashing lies over "a kinder, gentler Way International". And yet the sickness is still at the core, because the people in power are still there at the core. There are many exoduses from The Way International, not just the mass exoduses recorded here. They are always preceded by the uncovering of the truth of how the inner circles of leadership function, as opposed to they two-faced hypocrisy they expose to the public.

touchy subject but i don't get this hooking up with ex cultists
chockfull replied to brainfixed's topic in About The Way
I've decided due to the overabundance of evidence and common sense that it actually is the Way International that displeases God. I haven't done the things VPW or Martindale did. I haven't committed the vast sins that Rosalie and Donna have in protecting their little worlds and ruining others. They are the ones with the problem, not me. -
Well, you know, it's the people that move the packages at UPS that REALLY run the company.
