I remember once being confronted on something to do with this type of thing once. The person confronting me asked me "why I was bucking their leadership". My response was "why are you trying to ride me? I'm not a horse".

excie, Without your firsthand account, much of the evil that went on would have no collaborating evidence. We have Kristin's book, and with your account that is two, catcup's three, and a few others on this site concur. Now the clueless can sluff you off, the innies can act like you're making it up, but for people who are starting to wake up it is just plain confronting stuff. I'm very glad you are speaking of your past here. It helps many leave when otherwise they might not.

If you don't follow the light you follow darkness

Yeah, especially when VP and the Forehead were ploughing all the young ladies of the kingdom. -
There was another add-on tape that was shown in certain scenarios, this class, to the Corps, to AC at times, that was of bestiality with a woman and a German shepherd dog. There are other references to this in the forums, don't have the link right now, sorry.

This reminds me of a quote from PFAL - "just when I needed the power, it wasn't there". Which just so happens to aptly describe TWI nowadays. There are no signs, miracles, wonders. They've long gone with the active movement of the spirit of God. There is no new revelation. There is just a shell, with a few people hanging on to dull denominational - like traditions, political aspirations, and hard-hearted behavior like described above. The ego involved in that is substantial and telling. "he has healed many folks over the years". For an individual to claim that, "I have healed many folks over the years" is taking the glory which is supposed to be placed upon God Himself, and transferring it to a man. No, idiot, if you have been privileged to be a part of ministering healing, it is God that heals. It is God that is the focus of the center of attention, not your egotistical dumb @$$. The trials that each of us face in life are not so easily waved away with a magic wand. The struggle in life builds character. I don't know, maybe we're meant to learn that. I'm not attributing evil to God or anything, it's just that TWI's practices of saying healing is due to "a person's believing or not" is complete bull$h1t. God wouldn't heal anyone involving a jack@$$ like that for any reason whatsoever. Who would get the credit? God? Or the man? I'm sure you guys are seeing the healing by leaving that BS organization, taking the initiative to get excellent medical care, and setting up a loving environment to raise a child, not under the thumb of little Napoleans like that.

Because after all, a little Greek along with showing illicit sex tapes with dogs and prostitutes from Tijuana really help educate people on that topic. You don't really need Biblically accurate teachings or anything.
-
Well that doesn't surprise me. Honestly the level of teaching they are gearing towards is young teenage level - 12th grade max. If you can dumb it down enough to a few catch phrases that nobody will question, try to hype it up, and sweep any logical criticism under the carpet, you can convince some. After all, it worked for VP, right?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MKDVx6oiKc Too bad all those kids are obviously possessed (according to TWI teachings) will all their devilish holy hands raised. In the words of extremists you have bigotry, holy wars, the KKK, Muslim terrorists, and many other avenues that evil can work. Just say no to this kind of logic. Life is not black and white. Life is a spectacular prism of the entire spectrum of color, led by our Father. -
I blame video games, and having their pants around their ankles.

The only way this is in any part a true statement is due to the level of extreme micromanagement that is the habitual practice of Rosalie. She knows the minute details of what every staff member is working on and approves them all. So the main question involved with this kind of manipulative bribery implied in the above statement is "WHY"????????? In no other organization do you have the President micromanaging everything to this extreme level. In a healthy organization, the resources involved in any project are at the level of and appropriate to the project. However, in TWI this is not the case. You have a matriarch, with Queen Bee dictating everything. Get a fricken life, stop micromanaging everyone's life, and invest the resources of TWI in something that will make a difference, like the cessation of putting out all that mindless drivel on the STS teachings, Way Mags, and even classes. Not that putting out teachings, mags, and classes are bad, just put all the resources toward putting out something with a little better quality that will represent Biblical research, not LCM's outline of a class implemented.

Leave it to that dumb@$$ to come up with the most morbid possible example of the power of positive thinking you can find.

No time for blogging anymore, apparantly. Here's the quote: "Life has been getting steadily busier and now that I’m a student in the Way International’s new Biblical Research Foundational Class I have to make time for other things" The hamster wheel is spinning, activities are piling up, and there's not really much time left for free thought, expression on a blog, etc.

Don't remember this, but if #2 is the Moody Blues, then #1 has to be the Dire Straits.

How is twi abundant sharing different from union dues?
chockfull replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
Well with union dues you get union protection, higher wages, and many times better benefits including retirement. All of these are laughingly non-existent with TWI. -
A genius he is not. Just look at his own kids. How many of them are still involved in TWI? How many of them are involved with the attempted antithesis to TWI, CFFM?

If someone really wants to put content like that up, they should just go with one of the prolific BitTorrent sites around. Many of them are hosted in countries that can't be touched legally, no matter how growly the Fox wants to get - let's see how many billable hours of Colombo's TWI can spend on that

That one-way commitment thing is absolutely true in TWI. I have heard the phrase "The ministry owes us nothing, but we owe the ministry everything because they taught us the Word" many times. It's not a Biblical phrase, it's not an ethical phrase, even by the standards of VPW's high school paper introduction to ethics called "Lifestyle of a Believer". There VPW said "no man is the means to another man's end". Yet by this phrase, and TWI's actions in conjunction with this phrase, every man is a means to TWI's end or rather Rosie's end. What it is is more language of control. What happens is people make up these little catch phrases, then to look extremely spiritual, when in conversations, they will just pause, think for a moment, and spout out a phrase like that. It's simple, it's catchy, it appeals to noble motives of service. But it is absolutely counterfeit and doesn't line up to scriptures. They will even repeat it to one another saying "I remember when Rosalie taught us 'phrase'". They replace God's Word with man's word, or woman's word. They absolutely have changed "It Is Written" to "It Is Position". It is no longer chapter and verse in TWI, it is person and quote. They are respecters of persons.

Here's a little hint on how that one works. "Error in judgement" - that's the kind of error your leadership makes, even if it breaks the law. "Error in heart" - that's the kind of error you make, because your heart is not following your leader closely enough.

What a bunch of Pharisees. Look how they themselves cave in quickly when any kind of threat of civil authority comes asking questions, whether related to taxes or legal matters.

I always thought it was cool when I could buy the little plastic insert thing with the alligator clip on it. Then I could stick the pin through the holes and use the alligator clip to attach the nametag to places very easily. Like, for example, I could clip it to my pants zipper, stick my thumbs in my pockets, point to it, and smile at the Sunday Teaching Service ushers.

Nice - thanks for the quotes and perspective.

What's amazing to me is the amount of control people can have over you with a name tag, a personnel-type file, and a status. TWI - you can take all three of those and shove it up your ...

Make sure you have the wallet sized ones as well as larger for framing. After all, people need to be able to carry your photo around with them at all times.

And every once in a while someone's lips get so tired they start growing a conscience. That's when it's time to leave.
